==History==
===Mobile Suit Gundam===
The first captain of the ''[[White Base]]''. When [[Char Aznable]] leads an attack on Side 7, he mans a cannon and is struck by shrapnel, becoming severely injured. He continues to command the ship in his wounded condition, with assistance from [[Bright Noa]]. When White Base arrives at Luna II and its crew is impounded, he convinces [[Admiral Watkein|Commandant Wakkein]] to let them fight off Char. He dies soon after, and the crew holds a funeral for him, ejecting his body out of the ship.

===Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin===
Captain Paolo was a member of the Federation reserves who was called up to be captain of White Base. When Char's Musai attacks Side 7, Paolo heads out on a gunboat and is severely injured. He remains incapacitated as White Base heads to Luna II. There, he helps convince Wakkein, a former student of his to let the White Base crew remain and passes away moments later.
