Paolo Cassius (パオロ・カシアス?) is a character introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam.
History[]
One Year War[]
The first captain of the White Base. When Char Aznable leads an attack on Side 7, he mans a cannon and is struck by shrapnel, becoming severely injured. He continues to command the ship in his wounded condition, with assistance from Bright Noa. When White Base arrives at Luna II and its crew is impounded, he convinces Commandant Wakkein to let them fight off Char. He dies soon after, and the crew holds a funeral for him, ejecting his body out of the ship.
In the manga MSV-R Legend of the Universal Century Heroes: The Fabulous Shin Matsunaga, he is in command of the operation to prevent Zeon from attacking Earth from the Aires City Mass Driver on the Moon before their descent to Earth.
