An Observation Boat is a type of shuttle craft employed by the Principality of Zeon, and likely has a counterpart amongst the Federation forces. The observation boat is likely short-range only and has no weapons. It is used to relay observation data from one area to another ship or mobile weapon that is too far away for sensors to pierce Minovsky particle interference.
