Machu plans to earn money in the Clan Battle and travel to Earth with Shuji and Nyaan. However, on the day of the Clan Battle, Machu is caught by Xavier. At this rate, the trip to Earth will remain just a dream. At that moment, Nyaan…
Plot[]
At the Solar Centrifuge Furnace, Gaia and Ortega, disgruntled with their post-war livelihoods after having been dismissed from the Black Tri-Stars, plot to defeat Clan Pomeranians to get themselves out of the junk trade business. At the Pomeranians hideout, Annqi comforts a distant Amate about Shuji killing Shiiko, while Xavier, having gone out to Side 6 by himself to locate the missing GQuuuuuuX, is told by a Zeon informant named Asset that Kycilia Zabi suspects that the theft of the suit is a potential plot by Challia.
At Shuji's hideout, Amate, Nyaan and Shuji lay out their plans to rent a shuttle to Earth. When Nyaan inquires about Shuji's strange drawings, Amate attempts to describe the Kira-Kira to her, to no avail. As they attempt to catch a train back home, Nyaan is suddenly approached by two security officers; Amate, deeming them a threat, attacks one of them, allowing Amate and Nyaan to split up. When Amate is unable to find safe passage through the station, she is suddenly grabbed by Xavier and pushed into a coin locker with him. Xavier, suspecting Amate is the girl who stole the GQuuuuuuX, attempts to keep Amate with him until Clan Battle starts to confirm his suspicions. Nyaan, realizing that Amate is unable to escape, resolves to take her place in the Clan Battle to earn the money for the Earth trip.
Nyaan, disguising herself as Machu, evades detection and sorties in the GQuuuuuuX, much to Xavier and Amate's mutual shock. She and Shuji are pitted against Clan Binarys, consisting of Gaia and Ortega in black MS-09R Rick Doms. Nyaan assumes that Shuji will handle everything for her, but Shuji, having fallen ill due to the heat, is trapped in a feverish haze and does not attack. Seizing the opportunity, Gaia and Ortega execute a relentless assault on the GQuuuuuuX, using their superior firepower and electrified cables to inflict heavy damage to Nyaan. An enraged Nyaan inadvertently unlocks the GQuuuuuuX's Omega Psycommu system, causing her to become enveloped by the Kira-Kira and see the battlefield through the senses of a Newtype.
Her emotions drastically amplified by the Omega Psycommu system, Nyaan flies into a frenzy and strikes back against Gaia and Ortega, grabbing the Red Gundam and using it to body block the Rick Doms' attacks. Gaia and Ortega, realizing the situation has changed, attempt to circle around for a counterattack and manage to disarm the GQuuuuuuX. However, using the Red Gundam as a distraction, Nyaan draws the Red Gundam's beam saber and impales Ortega's Rick Dom, killing him. A stunned Gaia is barely able to catch his bearings before Shuji decapitates his Rick Dom, killing him as well and ending the match.
Amate, shocked and confused about the GQuuuuuuX's actions, escapes Xavier and heads for the airlock. As she arrives, the GQuuuuuuX returns from the battle, and Amate discovers Nyaan emerging from the cockpit. Challia, having determined that the GQuuuuuuX has proven to be a threat, calls for the prompt deployment of a MAN-03 Kikeroga.

MAYOR MASH [and] BEAUTIFUL SECRETARY IN AN AFFAIR? - 0085.06.11 07:00
A scandal has come to light for Mayor Mash, famous being a hero of One Year War as a member of the Black Tri-Stars. Mayor Marsh was a former Zeon ace pilot, and after his retirement, used his newfound fame to win the election for mayor of Usen. His post election governing style is best described as "extreme", and generated big news when he shunned the conservatives factions who had continued to govern the colony. His non-stop momentum generated sufficient controversy, and now the rumor news site "Purple" has reported the suspicion of an affair between him and his secretary. Photographs of them on a date in broad daylight and embracing each other were made public, and it was said that he was acting self-righteous regarding his decision of appointing his secretary-
Machu shows an ad for a space glider called the "Yashima UL120S". Yashima Company is run by the family of Mirai Yashima.
Black Tri-Star:
Members of Black Tri-Star die in the same episode they appear in. In an inverse to the order of events in prime-Timeline where Mash was first killed, in here Mash himself is spared due to his position as a mayor, while Gaia and Ortega died.
The Binarys utilize Rick Dom, a space version of the original Dom, and tried Jet-Stream Attack twice. The first attack Gaia didn't use the scatter beam cannon, and resulted in the lost of a Dom's Bazooka due to being chopped by the Gundam's melee weapon while failed to destroy the Gundam. The second attack have Gaia using the scatter beam cannon, and while the Gundam evaded Gaia by using a mobile suit as stepping stone (Gaia's unit in 0079, Red Gundam in GQuuuuuuX), the second Dom raised up from behind to fire his bazooka, with the Gundam dodging the shell before stabbing the second Dom's cockpit followed by a vertical bisection of the second Dom.
Callbacks to GAINAX/Khara titles[]
The scene when Machu does a high jump at school copies a similar scene with Eri Ninamori in FLCL.
