Disambiguation:

Dr. Mosk Han (モスク・ハン?) is a character that appears in the TV anime Mobile Suit Gundam.

History[]

Dr. Mosk Han was said to be on the cutting-edge of electromagnetic engineering and learned Minovsky Physics from Principality scientist Dr. Trenov Minovsky, who had been exiled to the Earth Federation. The Principality was the birthplace of Minovsky Physics and was one step ahead of the Federation, at the time. This was the reason why developing an ultra-compact thermonuclear reactor, which the Principality's forces had already succeeded in putting to practical use, had been difficult for the Federation Forces. Mosk Han applied the latest Minovsky Physics to the electromagnetic engineering he had learned so far and succeeded in the difficult task of stabilizing magnetic monopoles.[1]

Following the battle with Challia Bull, Amuro Ray finds that the Gundam can no longer respond to his quick reflexes without overheating. White Base heads to Solomon, where Mosk Han arrives and proposes applying a magnetic coating to the Gundam to solve the problem. This successfully allows the Gundam to operate effectively again. Mosk tells Amuro he can thank him by providing him with the data following his next battle.[2] Unfortunately, Mosk's upgrade of the Gundam would never reach Amuro in time, and the Gundam and its data would be lost at A Baoa Qu. Some time after, Mosk would learn of the Federation's human experimentations on its pilots, initially drugging them during the One Year War before the eventual development of the Cyber Newtype.

Mosk would later find employment under Stephanie Luio after the Gryps Conflict and would later be interviewed by Kikka Kobayashi to help trace Amuro's steps until the Second Neo Zeon War.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Mosk Han was one of the few characters not designed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko in Mobile Suit Gundam. This was because Yasuhiko fell sick at that point of the production, forcing the staff to design only a new face and place it on a recolored version of Tem Ray's body.
