Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky (機動戦士ガンダムサンダーボルト DECEMBER SKY(ディッセンバースカイ) Kidō Senshi Gandamu Sandāboruto Dissenbā Sukai^?) is a 2016 anime film created by Sunrise. It is a feature length compilation of the first season of the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt ONA. This film includes new footage and is dubbed in English.

Synopsis

During the One Year War of U.C. 0079, the Earth Federation's "Moore Brotherhood" and the Principality of Zeon's "Living Dead Division" engage in a fierce battle at the "Thunderbolt Sector", a shoal zone in the former Colony Side 4 "Moore". After successfully infiltrating Zeon's sniper field, ace Federation pilot and jazz enthusiast Io Fleming is given control of the latest Gundam prototype. To combat the new Federation threat, Zeon amputee pilot and ace sniper Daryl Lorenz sacrifices his humanity to directly interface with an experimental Zaku II prototype.

The first English language trailer was released on May 26, 2016.

The complete' edition includes the movie and ONA in a black Amaray case featuring Io Fleming on the front and Daryl Lorenz on the back, which is in a sleeve with the FA-78 Full Armor Gundam on the front and the Thunderbolt sector on the back, a special disk featuring revealing the background of production, 4 storyboard books for each episode and a black booklet consisting sketches of scenes, characters, mobile weapons and vehicles. All in a card box featuring the Full Armor Gundam on the front and the MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type (Reuse "P" Device) on the back.
