{{nihongo|'''''Mobile Suit Gundam Silhouette Formula 91 in U.C. 0123'''''|機動戦士ガンダムシルエットフォーミュラ91 IN U.C. 0123}} is a manga based on a line of [[Gunpla]] model kits ''[[Mobile Suit Gundam Silhouette Formula 91]]'' set in [[Universal Century]] 0123, approximately three weeks prior to the events of the film ''[[Mobile Suit Gundam F91]]''. It is centered around the [[Silhouette Formula Project]] planned by [[Anaheim Electronics]]. ==Plot== ===Chapter 1: Encounter=== On February 18, U.C. 0123, in the Zebra Zone in the back of the moon, two mobile suits were in combat: the [[RXF-91 Silhouette Gundam]] piloted by [[Tokio Randall]] and the [[RGM-111 Hardygun]] piloted by [[Kevin Forrest]]. Their battle was suddenly interrupted by the appearance of a [[XM-01 Den'an Zon|monoeyed red mobile suit]]. Aboard the Anaheim Electronics ship ''[[Bladewood]]'', assistant engineer [[Iris Orlando]] and veteran test pilot [[Karl Schwitz]] were observing the battle. Suddenly, they receive a distress call from the Hardygun saying that he was under attack by a red-painted unknown unit that resembles a [[MS-06 Zaku II|Zaku]]. Tokio told Schwitz that he saw two unknown mobile suits. Schwitz ordered Tokio to assist Kevin and moved to assist him. The captain of the ship, [[Aitor Horst]], objected, saying that they were here for field testing, not for fighting a war. Schwitz replied that if they lose the mobile suit, it would all be for nothing. Unable to shake the mysterious mobile suit, Kevin's Hardygun took a direct hit. However, the Gundam tackled the red mobile suit and landed several hits on it using its beam rifle (which was loaded with training rounds). Its monoeye visor broke off, revealing a pair of goggle eyes behind it. As the mobile suit retreated, Schwitz arrived in the [[F71B G-Cannon Magna]] and asked the two not to pursue. After the ''Bladewood'' recovered all three mobile suits, Kevin apologized to chief engineer [[Albert Elsener]] that the testing was interrupted during the final stage. Elsener reassured them that it was not their fault and told them that the captain was waiting for them in the intelligence room. While en route to the intelligence room, Tokio asked Kevin why he became a civilian pilot despite his military training. Kevin replied that it was to make a living. Tokio remarked that he was calm during the fight, to which he replied that he simply wasn't panicked enough to be frozen by fear. The two discuss whether or not the red mobile suit could have been used by the [[Zeon Remnants]]. In the intelligence room, Iris played footage of the mysterious mobile suit captured by the Hardygun and remarked that it resembled the [[Dessa Type]] made by Buch Aerodynamics. Schwitz remarked that the Buch Concern has been acting suspicious lately. At this point, Elsener walked in and revealed that the shots taken by the Hardygun were from training rounds, implying that the red mobile suit was undergoing training as well. There was also a strange dent on the Hardygun's chest, which was made by the red mobile suit's spear-like weapon. Schwitz then asked Tokio to submit a report about the second unknown mobile suit that he saw. He told Horst that the two unknown mobile suits must have taken footage of the Gundam. Horst replied that if that was the case, they must leave the area and contact the corporate headquarters immediately. Meanwhile, on a [[Zamouth Jeth-class|''Zamouth Jeth''-class]] cruiser hidden behind an asteroid, [[Crossbone Vanguard]] Lieutenant [[Shelf Sheffield]] abdominshes Ensign [[Maurice O'Barry]] for revealing the Den'an Zon during testing. Though unaware of who the enemies were, he swore on his name as the Flame Tiger that he would silence them to prevent them from revealing the existence of the Crossbone Vanguard. ===Chapter 2: Sortie=== At 1500 hours of the same day, Sheffield deployed in his [[XM-05B Berga Balus]], along with Ensign O'Barry in his Den'an Zon and two [[XM-02 Den'an Gei]]. They split into two teams to look for the ''Bladewood''. Meanwhile, the ''Bladewood'', concealed behind an asteroid, was using a wired probe to detect enemy movement. However, since the ship's equipment was not perfect and the Minovsky interference was heavy, they were unable to find anything. Schwitz suggested to Horst that instead of waiting for the enemy, they should make the first move. Horst angrily replied that they were not the military, but Schwitz said that both Kevin and Tokio had agreed to this and that they should not ignore the opinions of the young ones. Tokio went to check on the Gundam's repairs. Elsener told him that it was ready for battle, but told him to stop ramming the enemy. He also said that due to the RXF-91 still being a prototype, there was almost no spare parts. He explained that the RXF-91 was created by Anaheim in an attempt to catch up to [[SNRI]] and Buch Concern in terms of miniaturized mobile suit development. Since it was not intended to be sold to the [[Earth Federation Forces]], there was no plan for mass production. Tokio asked Elsener about rumors that Anaheim has industrial spies within SNRI, to which he replied that it was a cover story. The truth was the military did not wish for Anaheim's collapse, implying that it was them who leaked information to Anaheim. However, they were interrupted when O'Barry's team discovered the ''Bladewood'', forcing Tokio to sortie in the Gundam. ===Chapter 3: Interception=== O'Barry's wingman informed him that they were still unable to contact Sheffield. They saw the Gundam deploy from the ''Bladewood'' and O'Barry launched a signal flare to inform Sheffield before going on the offensive. After seeing the signal flare, Sheffield remarked that O'Barry was too impatient. As Sheffield and his wingman approached, Schwitz decided to sortie with Kevin to deal with them. However, Kevin was too scared to deploy, saying that he wasn't a soldier. Schwitz reassured him that he could do it and told him to just treat it as another training mission. On the ''Bladewood''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s bridge, Horst remarked that the enemy must have split into two teams to look for them and that they must have been affected by the Minovsky particles that they spread. As the Gundam was gradually losing due to having to engage two enemies at once, Iris tried to tell Tokio that help was coming, but experiences a flashback to the death of her father, Captain Orlando. When Elsener snapped Iris out of her stupor, she told Tokio to turn off the Gundam's Maneuver Control Sampling (Support) System (MACSS) switches, which would throw off its balance but greatly improve its mobility. Elsener objected, believing that Tokio would not be able to control the Gundam. However, Tokio did as she said, saying that since he was low on ammo already, doing nothing would be the same as waiting for death. Suddenly, the Gundam began moving much faster. Horst asked Iris what she did, to which she replied that during testing, a mobile suit's mobility programs had limiters placed on it due to mass production concerns, to ensure that anyone could pilot the mobile suit. By disabling these limiters, the RXF-91 was able to demonstrate its full potential. Taking advantage of the Gundam's superior mobility, Tokio moved behind the De'nan Gei and destroyed it. O'Barry escaped, but before Tokio could pursue him, he heard a garbled communication from Schwitz indicating that they were in trouble and moved to assist them. Meanwhile, Schwitz was locked in close combat with Sheffield's Berga Balus. Sheffield remarked that he was foolish for engaging in close combat with the G-Cannon Magna. However, Kevin fired at the Berga Balus, forcing him to defend using the beam shield. Sheffield's wing man moved to engage him with the De'nan Gei, but he destroyed it. Seeing that it was now two against one, Sheffield escaped using a flash bang. The two were then joined by Tokio in the Gundam. ===Chapter 4: Colony=== In February, U.C. 0112, Captain Orlando was testing a modified [[RGM-89 Jegan|Jegan]] known as [[RGM-89R Jegan Fireball|"Fireball"]] in a North American desert. However, the mobile suit lost control during testing and exploded as his daughter Iris watched helplessly. ==Characters== ===Anaheim Electronics=== ===Earth Federation Forces=== ===Neo Zeon Remnants=== ===Crossbone Vanguard=== ==Mechanics== ===Earth Federation=== ====Mobile Weapons==== *[[RGM-89J Jegan Normal Type]] **[[RGM-89R Jegan A-Type]] ***[[RGM-89R Jegan Fireball]] *[[RX-99 Neo Gundam]] ====Vehicles and Support Units==== *[[Ra Cailum-class]] *[[Space Launch]] ===Anaheim Electronics=== ====Mobile Weapons==== *[[F71B G-Cannon Magna]] *[[RGM-111 Hardygun]] *[[RX-99 Neo Gundam]] *[[RXF-91 Silhouette Gundam]] **[[RXF-91A Silhouette Gundam Kai]] ====Vehicles and Support Units==== *[[Bladewood]] ===Crossbone Vanguard=== ====Mobile Weapons==== *[[XM-01 Den'an Zon]] *[[XM-02 Den'an Gei]] *[[XM-03 Ebirhu-S]] (design only) *[[XM-05B Berga Balus]] *[[XM-07G Vigna Zirah]] ====Vehicles and Support Units==== *[[Zamouth Jeth-class]] ===Neo Zeon Remnants (Civilian)=== ====Mobile Weapons==== *[[AMS-119 Geara Doga]] ==Gallery== <gallery> Gundam_Silhouette_Formula_91.jpg Gundam Silhouette Formula 91 Linearts 1.jpg|Lineart Gundam Silhouette Formula 91 Linearts 2.jpg|Linearts GMSSF91_02.png 1236139714188.jpg 0008.jpg 0003.jpg 0004.jpg 0009.jpg 0017.jpg 0014.jpg 0124.jpg Ditched by Layla.jpg </gallery> ==External links== *http://mazingacastle.forumfree.it/?t=53313044 *http://www.geocities.jp/allthatgundam/comic/silhouette.htm {{Universal Century}} [[Category:Stubs]] [[Category:Manga]]
