Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link is a game set in the Universal Century that is available on the PlayStation 3 platform. The game is developed by B.B. Studio and published by Namco Bandai Games. The game follows spinoff stories tied to the One Year War.
This story arc is included in the PS3 game Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories, which also includes remakes of other side story games such as The Blue Destiny. Characters from Missing Link also appear in the remake/retelling of the Blue Destiny story arc as NPCs.
Gameplay[]
Players can deploy a team of three mobile suits in both ground and space battles. The game will have zero gravity and three-dimension maneuvering to distinguish the space battles from the ground ones. Players can also freely switch between the three mobile suits in the middle of battle, particularly when one mobile suit's hit points has been depleted. Support craft can offer both offensive and defensive assistance to the player.
Story[]
During the One Year War, in an attempt to replace losses in the Federation for mobile suit pilots, a penal battalion was formed called the Slave Wraiths. Led by Travis Kirkland, he and his team take on suicide missions in highly advanced mobile suits to make deadly surgical strikes into the enemy side. On the other side, the Marchosias, a regiment for Zeon elite pilot washouts was formed as well. When Doug Schneid, a former pilot of Zeon defects to the Federation with the Pale Rider in tow, both sides are forced to fight together to stop a conspiracy that lurks within the MS development research.
Slave Wraith Chapter[]
The Slave Wraiths are a unique EFSF special operations mobile suit team currently testing a new model of mobile suit—the slave wraiths—in order to combat the better-armed and more-experienced Zeonic mobile suit forces.
Marchosias Chapter[]
The Marchosias Special Forces are the bottom the barrel: Zeon's dumping ground for mobile suit pilots too violent, tempestuous, or injured to work properly in standard units. Together, this group of disgraced and disgruntled misfits will meet with folly, betrayal and conspiracy as they struggle to endure the horrors of the One Year War.
Pale Rider Chapter[]
Years after the end of the One Year War, the Pale Riders return to the battlefield once more... at the dawn of a new conflict.
Reber The Ripper Chapter[]
Years after the end of the One Year War, the Ripper once again finds himself called to war... at the dawn of a new conflict.
