Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -A wakening of the Trailblazer- is the manga adaptation of the 2010 movie released under the same title. It is written by Kaishaku and was first published in Gundam 00 Ace (Gundam Ace October 2010 Special Issue). Kadokawa Shoten published a compilation volume in Japan on January 26, 2011.
Story[]
It is the year A.D. 2314. Two years have passed since the defeat of the ruthless A-Laws (Autonomous Peace-Keeping Force), and the new Earth Sphere Federation government has sought for peace by establishing a weapon-free world. However, a long forgotten ship Europia that was sent to Jupiter 130 years ago somehow returns to Earth, seemingly with no signs of life on board, but actually bringing with it a dangerous new alien threat — the Extraterrestrial Living-metal Shape-shifter (ELS), who have started assimilating Earth's technology and inhabitants. Now, with humanity at risk of total destruction, the Celestial Being makes its return to defend against the invasion of the ELS.

Manga vs Movie[]
- In the movie, Setsuna wiped out the GN-XIIIs with his CBNGN-003 Union Flag Celestial Being Version to avoid being identified as a member of Celestial Being. But in manga, he used the GN-0000RE+GNR-010 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type with a cloak, instead.
- In the manga, Setsuna returns to Earth when Marina Ismail is old, similar to the movie, however here he uses the power of the ELS to make her young again, and they get married.
