Mobile Suit Discovery, abbreviated as MSD is a design series for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, its OVA adaptation, and the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island movie [2][3].
Synopsis[]
This is a mechanical investigation project focusing on previously unrevealed MS while depicting the secret story of MS development, developed within the worldview of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island.
After acquiring Zeonic, Inc. in U.C. 0082. The Anaheim Electronics company carries out a survey of old materials and documents that have been kept by its own company and other companies during the One Year War, and proceeds to reveal and disclose the existence of mobile suits and the results of their battle that had not been heretofore verified (other companies: Zimmad, MIP, Yashima Heavy Industries, and many more).
On Zeon's side, the successes of preliminary test type mobile suits that had remained unverified. and the history of prototypes, are revealed [2].

Production[]
It was launched on May 14th 2015 with the full title of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin MSD[Mobile Suit Discovery] (機動戦士ガンダム THE ORIGIN MSD[Mobile Suit Discovery]?) [1].
With the introduction of mobile suits from Cucuruz Doan's Island to the genealogies, the full title was rebranded to Mobile Suit Gundam: MSD[Mobile Suit Discovery] (機動戦士ガンダム MSD[Mobile Suit Discovery]?) in December 2022 [3].
