History[]
First Generation (A.G. 115)[]
Millais served in the Earth Federation and was stationed at Arinston Base, Nora. She is first seen with Hendrick Bruzar. When the UE attack Nora, she sends out teams of mobile suits to intercept them from the base. She watches as Flit headed out to battle in the Gundam for the first time and reacts in shock when he actually defeats a Gafran.[1]
The UE then proceed to attack Nora from the outside, and Millais analyses the situation. She reports that the colony will be destroyed soon, and Hendrick quickly assesses that they don't have enough time to evacuate the civilians. He orders the launch of the Diva, and Millais conveys his orders to Dian Fonroid. Hendrick then devises a plan to evacuate all the inhabitants of the colony of the center core, then have the Diva carry it away in order to allow everyone to escape, and Millais rushes to carry out his orders. Soon everyone evacuates, leaving only Millais and Hendrick still in the base. He tells her to go ahead as he needs to stay behind in order to separate the core from the colony, reassuring her that he still has an escape route. She obeys his order and leaves, oblivious to the fact that there is actually no escape route.
Millais boards the Diva with other members of the base, and is surprised to find that the crew is absent and that the crew data is missing. Although against protocol, she decides that they should launch the ship anyway even if they have to do it themselves due to the urgency of the situation. She is surprised to learn that Grodek has been made captain of the Diva by the Earth Federation Forces and gets Adams Tinel to confirm, which he does.[2] After coming under attack from more UE forces, she watches with the others as Flit faces them. When one makes its way into the colony, she tells Flit to go after it. She informs the crew when they lose their connection with Arinston Base, and though upset by Hendrick's sacrifice she focuses on saving everyone from the collapse of the colony.[3]
After the battle, Millais discusses what will happen to the people of Nora with the children and the rest of the crew. She tells Dique Gunhale that she will try to contact his parents. Woolf Enneacle soon enters the room after awakening from his cold sleep and asks what is going on, oblivious to what happened in Nora. Adams attempts to introduce himself and explain but is cut off as Woolf instead makes passes at Millais, much to her dismay. She later expresses her doubts about Grodek approving the competition between Woolf and Flit. She watches their battle from the cockpit and reports when an enemy Gafran joins the fray.[4]
Millais and Adams watch the battle between the Euba and Zalam forces, and Millais remarks how foolish Fardain is. She is shocked to see Flit joining the fray.[5] She briefs Grodek when he returns to the ship after the UE attack the colony[6] and later expressed her surprise over the G-Exes.[7] Millais is shocked to hear that Grodek is not the real captain, though she gives Emily the chance to explain. She agrees with Emily when the younger girl tries to defend Grodek, as the Diva would not have made it so far without him. She decides to join Grodek.[8] When the UE attack Fardain, Millais informs Grodek that Zalam and Euba are in combat formation and tells Woolf to be careful. She is surprised to learn that Adams contacted the Federation behind the crews' back, but drops the matter when Grodek tells them to focus on the battle. Millais is amongst the first to realise that the UE are trying to pit Zalam and Euba against each other. She objects to Flit trying to change parts mid-battle, though Grodek overrules her. She is surprised to see Adams also relieved when the battle ends.[9]
Millais looks to Woolf for reassurance as the Battle of Ambat draws closer, blushing when he actually provides it. She joins Grodek and the others at Birmings Mansion and takes part in the strategy meetings. She is distraught when Grodek is arrested by the Federation on the way back to the ship, but joins Flit and Woolf when they rebel against the Federation and try to free him. Millais is the one who unlocks his cuffs[10] She returns to the Diva with the others and tells them that the Federation is after them, and they hastily take off. She detects Stoller Guavaran's fleet, and though they approach carefully they are still caught by surprise and ambushed, though they escape after a three-way battle involving the UE.[11]
On the way to Ambat, Millais helps Emily Amonde get dressed. She comforts the scared girl, telling her that she is also afraid. Knowing that she likes Flit, Millais tells her to confess and states that she doesn't have anyone that she likes.[12] During the Battle of Ambat, Millais infiltrates the enemy base alongside Grodek in order to take over the command room and open the way for Flit to destroy the reactor. She hacks the security system and disables the automatic guns, allowing the crew to proceed. They soon reach the command room and Millais is shocked to learn that the UE are actually human. She listens to Geera Zoi's story about the Vagan with the others, then escapes on the Diva when the base goes up in flames. She narrates the aftermath of the battle and expresses her displeasure regarding the outcome with Grodek.[13]
