Changes: Military Woman (Kergerenko)

"Military Woman" is the designation given to an operator for the Princiaplity of Zeon who appeared briefly in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. She was a Zeon operator who reported Norris Packard's signal to launch the Kergeren. She is presumed to have been killed aboard the Kergeren when it was shot down by the GM Snipers.

Despite only having a brief appearance in a Gundam OVA "Military Woman" gained a bit of renown and a small fan community. Much of the reason for this is that her distinctive appearance was used for Zeon operators in a large number of Mobile Suit Gundam video games. In each she was simply reffered to as "Military Woman" as she was originally intended to be a nameless soldier fullfilling a minor role.

Due to her frequent appearances, the fan community on 2chan began reffering to her as "Kergerenko" (ケルゲレン子). As her popularity grew she began to be increasingly featured and even appears on promotional images for such games as Mobile Suit Gundam: The Lost War Chronicle.

"Kergerenko" appears in the English versions of both Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo and Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front.
