Medel Zant (メデル・ザント Mederu Zanto) is a character that appears in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.
Personality & Character[]
Medel is a loyal Vagan soldier who serves his commanding officer to the best of his abilities. While most of the Earth Occupation Force doubts Zeheart's capability to lead, due to his youth and inexperience, Medel supports the commander, overseeing their battles from the Vagan command center, and takes responsibility for his actions.
History[]
In 141 A.G., he served as Zeheart Galette's aide in the Earth Occupation Forces. Acting as the mobile fortress Downes's battlefield commander and strategist while Zeheart fights on the front lines, he was no match for Flit Asuno and Frederick Algreus's combined tactical prowess. He and Zeheart were both troubled by problematic people like Desil Galette, and had trouble dealing with the Magicians 8. When Downes took a downward trajectory to Earth during the Battle of Nortrum, he boarded a descent capsule as a backup plan, escaped in the confusion of the explosion, and descended to Earth.
One year later while the Vagans were in hiding, he boarded the Zeydalus and led the Vagan remnants to eliminate the Federation Prime Minister, Froi Olfenoa, who had been exposed by Flit and the others when he attacked a memorial ceremony at Brucia in response to Flit's move to expose the corruption of the Earth Federation. In the battle, he called Asemu Asuno a fool for fighting even though the corruption of the Earth Federation Army was exposed, but in the end, he was defeated by Asemu and died in battle while seeing the vision of Eden shown by Fezarl Ezelcant.
