Marina Asuno (マリナ･アスノ?) is a character that appears in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. She is the mother of Flit Asuno.
History[]
Marina is the mother of Flit Asuno. Her husband is mentioned by Flit in episode 11. However, no details are known about him, including his appearance or name, and it seems that he had already passed away by the time Flit was old enough to remember. When Flit was seven years old, she was caught under some rubble when the UE attacked Ovan and passed away. She handed Flit with the AGE Device on her deathbed, entrusting his fate to the Gundam.[1]
In the final episode, she appears as a phantom in front of Flit along with Yurin L'Ciel, Grodek Ainoa, Woolf Enneacle, Don Boyage, and Hendrick Bruzar. In the first part of the novel version, it is mentioned that she is a scientist who invented the DODS system to aid in outer space exploration [2]

- Marina's voice actress, Ayumi Tsunematsu has also voiced various mothers of major characters in the Gundam franchise. These include Setsuna F. Seiei's mother from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Astraia Tor Deikun, Char Aznable's mother from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin.
- She also voiced Marina Ismail from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 who shares the same given name.
- She also bears a slight resemblance to her great-grandson Kio Asuno.
