MSK-008R Rick Dijeh

Technology & Combat Characteristics

Developed from MSK-008 Dijeh, the Rick Dijeh is a high performance space-use mobile suit by the Earth Federation created for the newly formed elite unit Londo Bell to mop up the Neo Zeon and Titans remnants after the First New Zeon War. The Rick Dijeh features a redesigned cockpit located in the upper chest instead of the head, the improved Random Binders originally developed from RMS-099 Rick Dias, and powerful firearms including the Hyper Mega Launcher originally developed for MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. For Cpt. Amuro Ray's unit, it spots a distinctive beige and red coloring scheme originated from MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus A1

Armaments

60mm Vulcan Guns: Rick Dijeh has a pair of fire linked vulcans guns on its head. These head mounted shell firing weapons have a high-rate of fire, but have little power and are generally ineffective against mobile suits; however, the vulcan gun can damage lightly armored areas such as the sensors. These weapons are ideal for shooting down small, fast moving, lightly armored targets such as missiles or small vehicles.

Beam Naginata: Like the original Dijeh, the Rick Dijeh carries a Beam Naginata, sometimes referred to as a "Twin Beam Sword". The weapon features a longer than normal handle and a beam emitter at both ends allowing the weapon to create two beam blades simultaneously. This allows the Rick Dijeh to perform attacks that mobile suits equipped with standard beam sabers cannot, on the other hand the weapon is more dangerous as the pilot must make sure not to accidentally strike his own mobile suit when attacking as the blades face opposite directions. When not in use the Beam Naginata is stored in a recharge rack on the back of the waist.

BR-M-87 Beam Rifle: The standard ranged armament of many mobile suits is the beam rifle. The particle beam fired from a rifle can penetrate almost any armor that has not been treated with specific counter-measures. The Rick Dijeh carried the same model of Beam Rifle as the Hyaku Shiki and Dijeh, with a power rating of 2.8 MW and powered by rechargeable energy cap. It has a retractable hook on top of the barrel for mounting onto the suit's backpack when not in use.

Hyper Mega Launcher: The same weapon used by the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam which is the most powerful class of beam weapon used by mobile suits. The Hyper Mega Launcher is a large mega particle cannon with firepower exceeding that of a warship's guns, which draws its power from a built-in thermonuclear reactor.

Shoulder Shield: The shield is a simple defense used to block most incoming ballistic and explosive projectiles. The Rick Dijeh mounts a the same curved shield of Dijeh on its right shoulder.

Rack Shield: For Rick Dijeh, the original Weapon Rack on Dijeh is replaced by an improved Rack Shield on left shoulder. The Rack Shield features the same weapon rack which is able to carry large firearms such as Hyper Mega Launcher, but also offer better protection as well as space for mounting a total of four Grenades.

Grenades: The Rick Dijeh's left shield includes a rack which carries four Grenades, which can be fire directly from the rack.

Special Equipment & Features

Random Binder: An enlarged and refined version from RMS-099 Rick Dias, the pair of Random Binders are a combination of vernier thrusters with propellant tanks and are capable of Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) like the suit's limbs. Thanks to these binders, the suit has excellent mobility. They are mounted on Rick Dijeh's backpack and could be ejected when not required.
