Template:Infobox/Mobile Weapon Ver.2 The MSJ-06II-SP Tieren Taozi is the most advanced Tieren mobile suit to be built by the HRL in season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The unit is piloted by Soma Peries.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
The Tieren Taozi has its roots in the Human Reform League top secret Super Soldier Program.[1] In order to make full use of their abilities, it was decided that a specialized unit was needed.[1] The Tieren Taozi is a mobile suit of the Tieren line of machines, however it has vast improvements over previous Human Reform League mobile suits in terms of versatility and capability. Unlike previous models of the Tieren series of mobile suits which were all designed for specific combat purpose in a specific type of terrain the Tieren Taozi is capable of functioning at full capacity both in space and on Earth.[1] Custom-crafted from the ground up to best express the physical and cognitive enhancements of the super-soldier Soma Peries, the Taozi is a highly-maneuverable general-purpose mobile suit that performs with comparable superiority to standard-model Tieren variants in any terrain.
In space the Taozi is capable of greater acceleration and maneuverability than the standard MSJ-06II-E Tieren Space Type. Like the Tieren Space Type the Taozi mounts an extra fuel container. However unlike the Space Type the Taozi only features one (on the back) instead of two. Primary propulsion is supplied from the back of the unit's lower legs, with selective activation of the prominent thrusters upon its movable shoulder-mounted shield plates for directional guidance. Fine control is permitted with an additional six thrusters. The water used by the unit as propellant is stored in the tank attached behind its waist. All limbs may be purged if necessary.
On Earth the Taozi is capable of the same hovering and maneuvering capabilities as the MSJ-06II-C/B Tieren High Mobility Type B. One feature that the Taozi keeps from previous Tieren models is its weapon selection which is composed of the same relatively outdated smoothbore cannon and machine gun used by almost all Tieren models.
The cockpit is designed with state of the art technology in order to match a Super Soldier's capability.[1] In addition to an enhanced head camera along the top of its head, the unit is also installed with an acutely responsive sensor system and an on-board processor capable of keeping up with the dramatically increased data load.[1] Unlike other Tierens, the cockpit also uses a panaromic graphical display that shows all the sensor display of the fuselage. With this, it is possible to accurately maneuver the mobile suit faster.[1]
It was originally planned that some of the advancement of the Tieren Taozi can be applied to other models.[1] However due to the large size of the panaromic display and the information processing system as well as the unsuitability of the system with general pilots, further developments were required before they can be implemented.[1] After the existence Super Soldier project was revealed to the public, all further development to the Tieren Taozi were discontinued.[1] As such, it is unlikely that any new variants of it will be produced.[1]
Armaments
- 200 x 25 mm Caliber Smooth-bore Gun (Space Type)
- The main weapon of the Tieren Taozi and identical to the one used by the Tieren Space Type.[1] It's capable of rapid firing the solid 200mm solid bullets it loads. In addition, a wide array of ammunition can be loaded[1] including armor piercing, flares, grenades, rocket propelled munitions, anti-aircraft and others.[1][2] On either side of the barrel, there are two sheets of heat sinks that are made of super hard carbon material that can also function as a blade.[1][2] The bladed heat sink is the biggest difference between the Ground Type and the Space Type version of the weapon.[2]
- 30mm Machine Gun
- This projectile weapon is commonly found mounted on the left part of the chest of the Human Reform League's Tieren units.[1] It fires solid 30mm rounds.[1] While its power is weak, because it can be fired rapidly it can be used for anti-personal and anti-aircraft purposes.[1] In addition, it can also be used as supression fire against other mobile suits.[1] While it is not considered to be a major weapon, it has a wide range of applications that increases the general versatility of the Tieren.[1]

Notes & Trivia
- The term Taozi (Chinese: 桃子) means "peach" in Chinese — a fruit that signifies longevity in Chinese folklore, traditionally depicted in pink.
- The "SP" on the end of MSJ-06II-SP Tieren Taozi is actually the initials of Soma Peries.
- A small number of MSJ-06III-A Tieren All-Terrain Type mobile suits were also produced by the HRL, which were nearly identical to the Taozi, but tweaked to allow normal humans to effectively pilot them.
- Allelujah Haptism dubbed the Tieren Taozi as the Tieren High Mobility Super Soldier Use Type.
