The MS-18F Kämpfer High Mobility Type (MS-18F 高機動型ケンプファー Kō Kidō-gata Kenpufā?)[1] is a mobile suit introduced in the smartphone game Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. ENGAGE. It is piloted by Michelle Kano.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A customized version of the Principality of Zeon's Kämpfer F-Type which was developed at the end of the One Year War as a high-mobility variant that specializes in hit-and-run tactics. The Kämpfer was originally designed as a mobile suit for heavy assault, and has extremely high mobility compared to other mobile suits developed at the same time. This machine has acquired even greater high mobility performance through the installation of three booster units developed by Anaheim Electronics for the GP Project. In addition, the internal parts of this machine have been completely overhauled, and many prototype parts from the GP Project, including the characteristic Stürm Booster unit, have been incorporated. This resulted in strong suspicion of a connection between Anaheim Electronics and the Zeon Remnants terrorist forces who operated this machine.
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- Mounted in the head, this pair of shell firing weapons have high rate of fire but little power, and can't damage the thick armor of a mobile suit, though it can damage lightly armored areas such as the sensors. They are ideal for shooting down small, lightly armored targets such as missiles, attack vehicles, etc.
- Beam Saber
- The beam saber is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when deployed and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits high-energy Minovsky particles to form a blade-shaped I-field (via manipulation of electromagnetic fields), and then fills this I-field shell with superheated Minovsky particle plasma to produce an effective cutting blade.
- MNG-110 Beam Rifle
- A beam rifle with the same design as the MS-14Fs Gelgoog Marine Commander Type's MRB-110 Beam Rifle.
- Custom Beam Rifle
- By attaching a large barrel extension to the MNG-110 Beam Rifle's muzzle, the weapon can be used as a long-distance rifle for sniping.
- Chain Mine
- An alternate design of Chain Mine comprised of a number of triangular mines connected by a flexible cable. Each mine has magnetic clamps on its underside, allowing it to be attached to objects. The triangular shape of these mines allows them to be stowed more easily in a rectangular frame that is attached to one of the Kämpfer High Mobility Type's leg hardpoints, making the weapon easier to carry and to deploy.
- A simplified, disposable rocket launcher. It is commonly used by Zeon mobile suits in the late stages of the One Year War. As the warhead is not equipped with a guidance device, it is extremely hard to use the Sturm Faust to hit a moving target accurately. However, it is still a highly destructive portable weapon. Two Sturm Fausts could be mounted on the leg hardpoints of the Kämpfer High Mobility Type.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- Stürm Booster
- A combination of propellant tank, verniers and high-performance thrusters to improve the suit's speed and mobility.
- External Propellant Tank
- The Stürm Booster can be equipped with two additional propellant tanks to increase their operation time. They can be purged once empty.
History[]
The Kämpfer High Mobility Type was part of a lunar-based squad of Zeon Remnants in UC 0082. Piloted by Michelle Kano, it would be used to commit acts of terrorism against the Earth Federation Forces, who found its extreme speed difficult to counter. Anaheim Electronics would send a taskforce to help deal with the threat to try to improve their relationship with the Federation, who were concerned about former-Zeon operatives working with the company. This taskforce likewise struggled to match it in high-speed combat at first. The Kämpfer High Mobility Type would be finally defeated by Peche Montagne in the RX-78MS00Z-B Engage Zero Additional Booster Equipment Type.
Peche was later assigned as a test pilot for the RX-78GP04G Gundam "Gerbera", and developed concerns when the mobile suit's engine sounds reminded her of the Kämpfer High Mobility Type. At Peche's urging, Lucette Audevie began to investigate, and uncovered a conspiracy within Anaheim Electronics to launder experimental parts and technology to Zeon remnants by disposing of them to local scrapyards.

- The Kämpfer High Mobility Type's purple color scheme was intended to be intermediate between the blue of the Kämpfer and the red of the Gerbera Tetra.[2]
