The MS-15/H Gyan is a mobile suit introduced in the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime series.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

A close combat mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon. It is equipped with a composite weapon called "Hakuji" which was comprised of a giant physical lance combined with additional thrusters on its back.

Armaments

• Composite Weapon "Hakuji"

A large physical lance type of weapon equipped with large thruster units on its rear side for additional mobility. Asides from being used as a melee weapon, it also houses a beam rifle at the tip.

• Missile Shield

MS-15/H Gyan is equipped with a large circular shield that not only defend it from beam weapons, but also has offensive capabilities in the form of 6 missiles tubes. When not in use, the missile hatches are closed.

• Beam Saber

The Gyan comes with 2 beam sabers.

History

In U.C. 0085, a custom Gyan piloted by Xavier Olivette was deployed to protect Kycilia Zabi from an assassination attempt by Deux Murasame and her MRX-010 Psycho Gundam, providing protection until Challia Bull's MAN-03 Kikeroga could arrive to reinforce. The unit later found Nyaan and took her to Kycilia.

During the Yomagn'tho Blockade, Kycilia's personal guards, consisting of 9 Gyans as well as Xavier's, were deployed to destroy Gihren Zabi's Big Zam squadron. All of the Big Zams were destroyed, allowing the Gyans to destroy the rest of Gihren's fleet in the vicinity.

Notes and Trivia

• Hakuji (ハクジ) is Gyan's original name as revealed in "Tomino Memo". This was probably derived from the white porcelain ("hakuji") vases that M'Quve collects.
• The mass-production version of the Gyan features the same purple color scheme as the original YMS-15 Gyan.
