The Desert Gelgoog is a variant of the MS-14A Gelgoog. This Mobile Suit first appeared as part of the Mobile Suit Variations of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, and was later animated in the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
A variant of the Gelgoog designed for desert and tropical environments, the Desert Gelgoog features dust filters and improved cooling systems. Armed with a beam rifle and armed buster cannon on left arm, it also equipped with a scope for use during travel or for hiding in the sand to prepare an ambush. However, the beam niginata/twin beam sword featured in the MS-14A was missing.

History
The Desert Gelgoog enters the war too late to be mass produced, but remnants of the Zeon military continue to operate in Africa after the war's end. The last Zeon military use of the MS-14D was in UC 0096, when Zeon army remnants employed the vintage Desert Gelgoog for an attack on the Federation's Torrington Base.
