The MS-06S Char's Zaku (MS-06S シャア専用ザク Shā Sen'yō Zaku?) is a mobile suit that appears in the movie Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.[1][2]
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A customized variant of Zeon's MS-06 Zaku for ace pilot Major Char Aznable. Its external appearance is nearly identical to the regular Zaku, but it was painted in Char's personal two-tone red livery and featured the forehead-mounted communication antenna for commander units. In terms of its armaments, it used the same weapons as the regular Zakus.[1]

- Zaku Machine Gun[1]
- The standard weapon for Zaku-type mobile suits. It was a shell firing gun that does not require energy to be used, however its effectiveness against heavy armor is very limited. The Zaku machine gun was fed by a drum magazine on top and with a pivoted handle under its barrel.[3]
- Heat Hawk[1]
- An axe-shaped close combat weapon which utilized a super-heated blade to cut through the armor of enemy mobile weapons. The thermal energy was generated by the power output of the Zaku's thermonuclear reactor and relayed through the mobile suit's hands.
- The cracker was a hand grenade-like weapon designed to be thrown or launched by the Zaku and detonate after a set amount of time. It broke into several smaller munitions over a wide area. Cracker's munition included explosive rounds and flashbangs.[2]

With its distinctive red color scheme, the MS-06S Zaku served as Char Aznable's personal mobile suit for a long period until September 18, UC 0079, when Char led his Zaku squadron with subordinates Denim and Slender to infiltrate EFF's secret military base inside Side 7 colony.[4][2] Char and Denim's Zakus destroyed almost all of the base's RX-series parts including several RX-77-02 Guncannons and RX-75 Guntanks.[2] However, Char would abandon his Zaku and hijack the RX-78-02 White Gundam and eventually the Pegasus-class carrier to serve as his personal arsenal.[4][2]
The standard color variants are kept for ceremonial purpose.
