The MS-06Rb-b Zaku II Unidentified Type (LeSean) (無識別型ザクII（ルショーン機） Mushikibetsu-gata Zaku II Rushōn-ki?) is a variant of MS-06F Zaku II F Type introduced in ONA Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.[1] It is piloted by Kneeland LeSean of the Red Wolf Squadron.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
After Kneeland LeSean's Zaku II F Type was destroyed by EFF's RX-78(G)E Gundam EX during the latter's surprise raid at Zeon-occupied military headquarter in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, he regained his own mobile suit thanks to the effort of Iria Solari's long time friend, Tech. Capt. Alfee Zydos and his mechanics team at Support Brigade Command's Recycling Centre. This machine does not have an official model number as it utilizes salvaged parts from dissembled Zaku IIs and other mobile weapons, but thanks to Alfee's efforts, it has the same performance as a regular Zaku II.[2] It is characterized by a large shield held on left arm, as well as tubular materials affixed in right shoulder and front skirts are the product of a prayer for protection from beam weapons.
Armaments[]
- Shield
- Mounted on the left arm, it is a defensive device comprises of a large piece of armor plates taken from other mobile weapons with the outside being embedded with pieces of caterpillar treads to offer extra protection from Federation MS' beam weapons.[3]
- 120mm Machine Gun
- A standard weapon for Zaku type mobile suits. It is a shell firing gun that does not require energy to be used, however its effectiveness against heavy armor is very limited. It holds 100 rounds per drum with spare drums that can be stored on waist armor.
- 3-tube Missile Pod
- Equipped with wire-guided missiles for accurate and powerful mid- to long-range range attack, the 3-tube missile pods can be mounted on the hardpoints of Zaku II's forearms. LeSean's unit has a total of two 3-tube missile pods.
- Wire-Guided Missile
- A type of missile that is guided by signals sent to it via thin wires connected between the missile and its guidance mechanism, which is located inside the missile pod. As the missile flies, the wires are reeled out behind it for accurate short-to-mid range attack. The missile is available with a variety of warheads, including explosives, pellet shots and flashbang.[4]
- Heat Hawk
- An axe-shaped close combat weapon, it uses a super-heated blade to cut through the armor of enemy MS or vehicles. The thermal energy is generated by the power output of the Zaku II F Type's thermonuclear reactor and relayed through the MS' hands. The Heat Hawk can be mounted on the rear waist armor when not in use.

- Hardpoint
- An attachment location on a mobile suit's structural frame designed to carry an external load or weapon, such as missile pod. LeSean's Zaku II has a total of two hardpoints, with one on each forearm.
History[]
As soon as the two patched-up Zaku IIs were ready for Kneeland LeSean and his Red Wolf squadron leader Iria Solari, they were put into action right away to counter the surprise raid by the Federal Ground Forces at the recycling centre.[4] The duo were up to the challenge against the more advanced Gundam EX and RGM-79 GM and were able to hold off EFF's attacks and save the centre and its staff from total annihilation. LeSean went on to chase the intruding GM deep into the nearby forest and eventually destroyed it despite intervention from Gundam EX.
During the GM-jack operation ordered by Maj. Gen. Yuri Kellerne, LeSean's Zaku II served as an emergency back-up to cover the Solari & co. Once notified by Ander Heaton when Solari was in grave danger, LeSean came to the rescue and battle the Gundam EX at the EFF's military base to buy time for Solari to escape. LeSean and his Zaku would eventually succumb to Gundam EX's beam rifle shot through the cockpit, which killed him instantly and destroyed the mobile suit.[3]
