Technology & Combat Characteristics

As the One Year War dragged on, the Zeon engineers strived to create a high-performance unit to replace their aging space fleet of MS-06F Zaku IIs, which were quickly being outclassed by the Earth Federation Forces' new RGM-79 GM series of mobile suits. The first of the new improved units created was the MS-06RP Zaku II High Mobility Test Type. The Zaku II High Mobility Test Type added several thrusters around the edges of the leg armor, giving it greater speed, acceleration, and mobility, and larger propellant tanks which increased the unit's fuel storage capacity.
