The MRX-002 Newtype Use Prototype Gundam is a prototype mobile suit that was featured in the Comic BonBon March 1990 issue. It was illustrated by Tatsuya Tomosugi.

History

A prototype unit developed from data taken from the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex", this machine's main armaments consisted of 10 wire-guided bits. To offset the extra weight these weapons put on the mobile suit, it was fitted with several vernier thrusters on various points on the frame. It is speculated this unit was used as the base model for the Psyco Gundam series.
