The MBF-P01-Re3〈AMATERASU〉Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amaterasu is a mobile suit introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ASTRAY Princess of the Sky. It is piloted by Lath Winslet, with Kazahana Azure being the sub-pilot.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
This is the MBF-P01-Re3 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Hana that has undergone a large scale repair, with the Rare Metal Ω being used in certain areas. It was named "Amaterasu" after Lath Winslet inherited the role of being Rondo Mina Sahaku's successor from Kazahana Azure. The back wing unit is named "Yatagarasu", and this is where the majority of the Rare Metal Ω was utilized. The "Yatagarasu" can also function as a support unit after separating from the main body, and is piloted by Kazahana. The "Ameno Hazuchi" is a system based on Voiture Lumiere, not only can it convert beams and solar winds into power in the space created by the wings deployed on top of the unit, it is also capable of laser propulsion.

- Tactical Arms Ω Gold & Silver
- These are Tactical Arms built by Lowe Guele using the Rare Metal Ω to combat the Lord Astray Ω. It has DRAGOON system installed, allowing it to be controlled remotely.
Special Equipments and Features[]
- Yatagarasu
- The wing unit mounted on the back can separate and function as an independent support unit. It has its own cockpit and is piloted by Kazahana Azure.
- “Ameno Hazuchi”
- The system is based on Voiture Lumiere and acts the same way as the one equipped on GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam, being able to convert solar winds and laser beam to propulsion. The Amaterasu can also use the same shootable beam cutter attacks named "Ameno Kourin".
History[]
After MBF-P01-Re3 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Hana was damaged from protecting Fairness Zweigle. Kazahana Azure ordered Fairness Zweigle to repair it as compensation and allow Lath Winslet to use the MS. Due to this circumstance, half of the Rare Metal owned by Fairness Zweigle was used for repair and another half for his MHF-01Ω Lord Astray Ω. The MS first deployed to defend the attack on Artemis by Leons Graves. Lath Winslet named it "Amatsu Hana Kai" at first but, after she returned it to Kazahana, Lath was crowned "Princess of the Sky" and inherit the MS. Rondo Mina Sahaku was the one who suggested the name "Amaterasu".
The MS then fought MHF-01Ω Lord Astray Ω. Using the Tactical Arms Ω Gold & Silver and laser shot from the Lohengrin launcher, the Amaterasu performs the "Ameno Torifune" attack, which was able to cut the MHF-01Ω Lord Astray Ω in half. However, the MHF-01Ω Lord Astray Ω retaliated by cutting off both Amaterasu arms.
The Amaterasu was fully repaired during Lath Winslet speech to the world as the "Princess of the Sky".

- Yatagarasu is the Three-Legged Crow also in Japanese mythology.
- The author chose the name Amaterasu because the Goddess is the child of Izanagi and Izanami which Rondo Gina Sahaku and Rondo Mina Sahaku were named after. This is how the name Lath Winslet came about too.
