Layton (レイトン?) is a fictional character from the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt.
Personality & Character[]
A young Soldier who serves as a support pilot in the Living Dead Division, he seems to idealize Daryl Lorenz and supports him in his mission to destroy FA-78 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.). [1]
Skills & Abilities[]
Layton is shown piloting a Gattle during the ThunderBolt sector's final battle. His piloting skills aren't really displayed in the series however he does operated the Big Gun in the ambush of the Moore Brotherhood. He devastates the advancing Brotherhood fleet, until he is killed by their return fire.
History[]
A Gattle pilot and Daryl's close friend, Layton main mission seems to be to ferry pilots to and from their prepositioned mobile suit positions. [2] Layton is seen celebrating with his comrades on Daryl promotion to Ensign. [3] In order to support Daryl's attack against the Moore Brotherhood's advancing fleet Layton manned the Big Gun in a Gattle. After firing a direct hit on the Beehive with the Big Gun, he is killed by the Moore Brotherhood fleet's countering fire. [1]
