Lacus' Ring is an item introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Overview

Lacus' Ring is silver with a wave pattern of the surface and has the words "The world is yours, and you are the world's, as long as you are born into this life" engraved on the inner surface.

History

Lacus's Ring was treasured item Lacus Clyne kept to remind her for her deceased mother. During the Second Battle of Jachin Due, Lacus gave the ring to her boyfriend Kira Yamato, as both a good luck charm and a promise that he would return to her alive when the battle was over.

In C.E. 75, Lacus met Orphee Lam Tao, who had a golden version of the same ring. She later learned that she and Orphee were both created by Aura Maha Khyber, and the rings signified them as being arranged partners. However, Lacus rejected Orphee, stating that she loved Kira, and after Lacus and Kira defeated Orphee at the end of the Foundation Conflict, Lacus threw her ring into space, discarding it and the future others decided for her.
