"DRAGOON-Use" is not in the list (Assault, Heavy Assault, Defense, Multi-Mode, Close Quarters Combat, High Mobility, Artillery, Sniper, Reconnaissance, Support, ...) of allowed values for the "Usage" property. The Nix Providence is a variant of ZGMF-X13A Providence developed by the mysterious organization known as Librarian Works. The unit first appears in the photo series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED VS Astray. It is piloted by the clone of Prayer Reverie. The name is derived from the word meaning "snow".
Technology & Combat Characteristics
Similar to other custom mobile suits utilized by Librarian, Nix Providence is compatible with its own Striker Pack. The overall function of the Nix Providence remains close to that of the original Providence, with the layout of the DRAGOON system changed to allow the usage of the DRAGOON Pack. The first disc-shaped DRAGOON platform, originally the Providence's backpack, mounts a large DRAGOON and pair of smaller ones, is on right shoulder. On the left shoulder there are four more smaller DRAGOON, as well as holding the composite shield that is similar to Providence except for the addition of a small thruster. The last set consists of two large DRAGOONs and two smaller ones which are wrapped around Nix Providence's waist. The large DRAGOONs can be aimed and shot without the need to deploy them. Finally, the DRAGOON Striker mounts the originally handheld Judicium beam rifle and shoulder armor which can be use without a hand-hold. And as the name implies, this high mobility backpack can be ejected and function like a DRAGOON itself.
Armaments
- DRAGOON System
- A weapon system used by the ZGMF-X666S Legend after discovering its wreck on the moon. It allows the pilot to remotely control multiple weapon pods for a devastating attack from multiple directions. Similar to the Legend and the ZGMF-X13A Providence, The Nix Providence' DRAGOON system is mounted on the sides and the hips of the mobile suit and includes 11 units, which mount a total of 43 beam gun nozzles. Unlike both the Legend and the Providence, the Nix Provedence's DRAGOONs' are far more superior than both suits combined due to the extensive research done by the group.
- Composite armed shield system
- Mounted on the left shoulder is the MA-MV05A composite armed shield system, which not only serves as a defense shield but also mounts two small beam guns and a beam javelin, giving the Nix Providence some close combat capabilities. However, the Nix Providence is unable to fully utilize the armed shield system unless it were manually removed from the shoulder.
- DRAGOON Striker
- A Judicium beam rifle and shoulder armor that is mounted on a backpack that can be fired without being held and be ejected and function like a DRAGOON.
