Keith Laijie is a fictional character from ∀ Gundam television series.
History[]
One of two others that accompanied Loran Cehack to Earth on board a FLAT-L06D FLAT, Keith arrived two years prior to the arrival of the Dianna Counter forces. While on Earth, Keith takes up an apprenticeship as a baker and soon falls in love with the owners daughter, Verlaine Bond. As the war between the Dianna Counter and Militia groups escalates, Keith attempts to continue running the business after the owner is injured. His bread is noticed by the Dianna Counter forces and he begins supplying to them. He is also hired to make a cake during the reconciliation party between the people of Earth and the Moonrace.
He later strikes up a deal with Michael Gern, where he sells him the Flat in order to make his own factory. After Michael breaks the ceasefire and attacks Dianna Counter, Keith realises that the money he got from Michael is now worthless as Inglessia is no more. He escapes with Verlaine and her father. After meeting Guin and learning that the Inglessa and Luzianna Militias have teamed up, he heads towards the two armies to sell bread with Verlaine and pass on a message from Guin to Michael. Throughout Loran's journey to space, Keith and his business pop up a few times.
After Guin betrays Loran, Dianna and the others, he allies with Gym Ghingham and returns to Earth. Gym lays waste to many cities and Guin's offer to Keith requesting that he supply him with Moonrace technicians is met with derision. After hosting Dianna, Guin's forces get into a battle with Dianna's forces and Keith's land is razed to the ground. Ketih is angry and commits to join the battle, but is convinced to focus on his bread.[1]
At the end, he is seen looking at his new shop. Verlaine has also given birth to their child and he has met Anise Bell, Verlaine's grandmother.[2]
