Kal (カル, Kal^?) is a character from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.

History

Kal is a refugee from Side 7 who evacuated onto the White Base following Zeon's attack on their colony. He becomes a mechanic aboard the White Base.

While performing repairs to White Base, following Amuro Ray's desertion, Kal muses to Job John and Humrau that Amuro could defect to Zeon with the RX-78-2 Gundam. Though Job doesn't believe that's likely, Humrau and Kal think Zeon would treat him like a hero if he delivered the Gundam to them, as opposed to returning and being punished for desertion, which Job can't deny.

Kal is part of the crew performing maintenance on the G-Armor as the Federation's attack on Odessa commences. He gets annoyed when Amuro tries to rush them, but Omur Fang tries to stop Kal's complaining by reminding him that Amuro is still under a lot of stress from Lt. Matilda's death.
