Ishtaria is a location introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom.

Overview[]

Ishtaria is the capital city of the Kingdom of Foundation.

History[]

The members of Compass visit Ishtaria in order to negotiate with Foundation. It is the central base of command during the joint operation between Foundation, Compass and the Eurasian Federation to root out the Blue Cosmos remnants headquarters in Eldore.^[1]

During the operation, the Black Knight Squad infiltrated behind Eurasian lines and hijacked a Eurasian missile launcher, then launched three nuclear missiles in a false flag attack. Although one of them was intercepted and destroyed by Lunamaria Hawke's ZGMF-2025/F GELGOOG Menace, the remaining two missiles managed to slip through and obliterated Ishtaria and Eldore, respectively. The nuclear strike on Ishtaria gave Aura Maha Khyber and Orphee Lam Tao a pretext to evacuate Lacus Clyne to Artemis, as well as obliterated Moscow (the capitol of the Eurasian Federation) with the reactivated Requiem.^[1]
