Into the Dawn Skies is Phase-40 (Phase-38 in the HD Remaster) of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It first aired in Japan on July 12, 2003, and in the United States on February 4, 2005.
Summary[]
The Earth Alliance attacks again, but the results are the same as the previous battle. The Archangel and the Orb ship Kusanagi launch into space, while the leaders of Orb stay behind. They explode Orb's mass driver and armaments factories, sacrificing their own lives in the process.

HD Remaster Changes[]
- A scene of the Strike landing while the Buster fires its launcher is replaced with Perfect Strike Gundam.
- A scene of Raider/Clotho and Calamity/Orga retreating has some extra spaces added & drawn.
- A scene of the Forbidden deflecting Freedom's beam cannons before Shani realizes that his Mobile Suit is out of power.
- The scene where Flay is sleeping in a room wearing a nightgown is changed to show her sleeping in the nude with tears in her eyes.
- The TV version has her Earth Alliance jacket on the chair, while the Blu-ray version has a ZAFT jacket.
- The episodes ends with the same ending as the second Special Edition compilation movie.
