Indian Ocean Base

The Indian Ocean Base location introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.

Overview[]

An Equatorial Union frontline base located in the Sumatran territory, the Indian Ocean Base was built to defend against ZAFT's Carpentaria Base. About twenty GAT-04 Windam units and a handful of Linear Gun Tanks were deployed as the base's perminent defense force.

History[]

The facility was still under construction by late C.E. 73. Due to a shortage of workforce during construction, local residents were forcibly conscripted. The base was attacked during the Battle of the Indian Ocean by the forces of the ZAFT battleship, Minerva. The base was destroyed during the battle and the subjugated workers were freed.^[1]
