The Hover Cargo Truck (ホバーカーゴトラック Hobā Kāgo Torakku?) is an Earth Federation Forces' transport vehicle which appears in OVA Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team and later, video game Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise From the Ashes.
Technology & Characteristics[]
A vehicle dedicated for heavy duty personnel and goods transport, the Hover Cargo Truck features four hover engines similar to M353A4 Bloodhound support vehicle for propulsion and ground movement. The hover engines enabled the vehicle to navigate difficult terrains where tires and wheels could not,[1] plus the advantage of speed over caterpillar treads. The hover cargo truck featured a flatbed platform for loading troops and cargoes in large capacity. It could be optionally armed with a 12.7mm machine gun, located at the upper part of the cabin in which the crew operates manually from the hatch.

- The Hover Cargo Truck has a open turret ring located on top of the center cabin which serves as a platform for the 12.7mm machine gun for anti infantry attack, though its operator is positioned completely outside of the truck and thus vulnerable to attack.
History[]
The Hover Cargo Truck was produced in large numbers and they are deployed by the Earth Federation Ground Force as a heavy-duty transport vehicle across the Earth during the One Year War, most notably in South-East Asian and Australian backlines.[2][3]

- Troops Carrier
- The Australian version of Hover Cargo Truck. They were used primarily for troop transport and without the 12.7mm Machine Gun.[4]
