High Grade Beyond Global

High Grade Beyond Global (HGBG) is a line of 1/144 scale Gunpla kits of the RX-78-2 Gundam from the Universal Century timeline in the Gundam meta series. Marketed outside the High Grade Universal Century line, the Gunpla line was first introduced in 2020 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Gunpla. The kit utilizes the latest in plastic model technology, pushing the limits of articulation and color separation. The joint parts are made of KPS plastic, eliminating the need for polycaps. The kit includes only the beam rifle, shield, and beam saber effect parts, lacking the hyper bazooka found in other RX-78-2 Gundam kits.

The High Grade Beyond Global line is priced at ¥2,000 yen per kit, costing twice as much as its HGUC and Entry Grade counterparts.

Following the reorganization of Bandai Namco Group, box covers of reissue and future release of kits from September 2022 onward feature the Bandai Namco logo on the upper right corner.
