The Harael (ハラエル Haraeru?) is an unmanned mobile armor introduced in the mobile game Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS Urdr-Hunt.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
Armaments[]
- Wire Claw
- At the end of each arm is a razor-sharp claw. These claws are wire-guided and can be shot out to attack enemies at a distant. Like the Hashmal's superhard wire blade, the wires of these claws can bend flexibly, enabling them to move easily and attack from any direction.
- Beam Weapon
- The eye-like camera sensor in Harael's head and at the end of each arm doubled as ranged weapons that shoot beams. Unfortunately, these beam weapons are ineffective against mobile suits as Nanolaminate Armor can diffuse beam shots and minimize the damage dealt.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- Small, unmanned subunits produced by mobile armor such as Harael, and they operate based on the mobile armor's orders. Besides serving as attack units, Plumas can also repair the Harael and play various support roles, such as data collection and gathering resources to resupply the mobile armor. Harael can use these resources to manufacture new Plumas.
History[]
At an unspecified time during the Calamity War a Harael unit for unknown reasons was trapped and sealed inside a pyramid-like structure located within the most profound block of a colony owned by the Kujan family and remained asleep for many years. 300 years later it is involuntarily awakened by the activation of Wistario Afam's ring that was in the colony that has now become abandoned for the Urdr-Hunt. Awakened, Harael immediately proceeds to free itself by firing its Beam Weapons at the structure that sealed it, while releasing its Plumas from the openings opened in the process. With its Plumas, it besieges the entire colony attacking any mobile suit in their vicinity, shortly afterward Harael though not yet completely free and with only three of its arms free begins a fight against Tamami's Hakukou and 598's Monkey Rodi who had reached the deepest block and as it is about to get the better of the two mobile suits the Gundam Hajiroboshi and the Gundam Asmoday join them. Shortly after their arrival, Harael knocks away Tamami's Hakukou, leaving the other three mobile suits to fight against the mobile armor.
The 3 mobile suits succeed in destroying two of the three arms but Harael watching and probably sensed the Ahab Wave frequency of the Hajiroboshi and begins to attack it fiercely all the while ignoring the other two mobile suits, causing the Hajiroboshi to react in turn also entering a state similar to the removed limiter of the Alaya-Vijnana, after that while still observing Hajiroboshi it seems to have a sort of flashback of the Calamity War days from the point of view of one Harael together with another Harael are fighting against the Gundam Marchosias, the Gundam seems to have the better on the mobile armors but the outcome of the fight is unknown (it is not clear, however, whether the Harael from whose point of view is seen in the flashback is the same one that is facing the Hajiroboshi 300 years later) because the Flashback is interrupted making the Harael behave strangely as if because of the memory of that fight against the Marchosias during the Calamity War left it shaken for a few seconds. By now left with only one arm it begins a final confrontation against the 3 mobile suits, eventually, its remaining arm is destroyed and with its destruction, the Plumas stop functioning. (Although its main body is still intact and trapped within the structure it was sealed in, it is unknown why the Pluma's shut down after the 3 arms were destroyed)
