The Gwazine (グワジン, Guwajin^?) is a space battleship of the Principality of Zeon forces. It is the command ship for Kycilia's unit. It is first appeared in the movie Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

Representing a symbol of power in the Principality's forces, the Gwazine-class outclassed even the Earth Federation's Magellan-class battleship in size and pure firepower. Due to the spaceworthy strength of these vessels, they often served as the personal starships of fleet commanders such as M'Quve. However, due to the impressive size and stats of the vessel, these ships were built in relatively few numbers.

Unlike most Zeon ships that were built around the ability to carry, field, and support mobile suits - the Gwazine-class was an outlier in role, primarily operating as a command ship that focused on firepower rather than mobile suit capabilities. However, it is no less dangerous on the battlefield - armed with a large number of powerful twin mega particle cannons and secondary weaponry.

Armaments

• Twin Mega Particle Gun

The Gwazine-class is armed with six twin mega particle guns as its main armament. One is mounted on the front of the ship's dorsal hull, and four are mounted midship in a superfiring structure. The last gun is mounted in an aft firing position near the rear of the ship. The turrets were capable of swiveling at least ninety degrees in either direction from their forward facing position, allowing the guns to be pointed and fired straight to port or starboard, though the dorsal positioning on all guns prevents the ship from firing under the ship.

• 2-Barrel Secondary Gun

The Gwazine-class is equipped with eighteen 2-barrel secondary guns for additional firepower or anti-mobile suit defense. Nine are on each side of the ship, with five mounted dorsally and four mounted ventrally on each side. Because of their positioning these guns can only be fired either to port or starboard depending on which hull the gun is mounted, however these guns can elevate or depress, giving them a decent field of fire.

Special Equipment & Features

• Komusai

The Gwazine-class is equipped with a single Komusai auxiliary craft on the underside of the ship's bow. This craft is used for the transport of supplies, personnel, and potentially even mobile suits away from the vessel. It is unknown if the Komusai is capable of entering the Earth's atmosphere.

• External Fuel Tanks

To compensate for their massive fuel consumption, Gwazine-class ships have external fuel tanks located near their stern. Most Gwazine-class ships are able to carry up to 8, with four on each side of the ship, two dorsal and two ventral respectively.

History

The Gwazine-class was one of Zeon's most powerful space warship classes, with very few vessels being built. The Gwazine herself served as the command ship of M'Quve during the One Year War, who was last seen commanding the vessel in the Battle of Luna II near the end of the war.

The Gwazine-class would continue to be used in U.C. 0085, serving in the National Defense Force. Supreme Commander Gihren would use a Gwazine-class known as the Gwaran as his personal command ship, which was docked to Yomagn'tho for its unveiling alongside Kycilia's forces. However, Kycilia would stage a takeover, successfully seizing Yomagn'tho and blockading it - with her forces wiping out Gihren's ships and mobile units, including the Gwaran. When the weapon was aimed and fired at A Baoa Qu, several Gwazine-class warships would be among the National Defense Forces wiped out entirely by the resulting Zeknova.
