The Gunperry is a vehicle appearing in the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga and Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island movie.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The Gunperry was a general-purpose transport aircraft used by the Earth Federation Forces. It featured three rotors which granted VTOL capability, allowing the Gunperry to take off without a runway, while four jet engines provided propulsion. Up to 12 people could be seated in the fuselage. A detachable container that opened was mounted on the bottom of the craft. This container was primarily used to carry a mobile suit or the RX-78-02 Gundam's components. However, it could also be used to transport personnel. The Gunperry could be stored in a Pegasus-class ship such as the SCV-70 White Base, and the two propellers on the sides were folded upward when the Gunperry was stowed.

- Machine Gun Turret
- The Gunperry is equipped with a single dorsal machine gun for self defense purposes - on the dorsal hull of the fuselage. This turret is manned and mounted in a transparent ball type housing, which allowed its gunner a near 360 degree view around them. While this allowed for a wide firing arc, it also limited any lower defenses due to how high up the turret was. The machine gun was light in caliber, limiting its usefulness to aircraft or incoming missiles, and rendering it ineffective at damaging a mobile suit.
History[]
One Gunperry was used to serve as a long distanced reconnaissance patrol during the One Year War, housing a pair of GMs, landing on a seemingly inconspicuous island. When Cucuruz Doan learned of their arrival, he would quickly overwhelm both GMs and the Gunperry in his [[MS-06J Zaku II Ground Type ]], destroying them before they could escape.
A second Gunperry - the one carried onboard White Base, would carry a pair of Guncannons to the same island in search of the Gundam and its pilot.
