The Gundam Groundsel is a Gunpla appearing in the video game Gundam Breaker Mobile.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

The core of this Gunpla is a customized RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] with multiple customized accessory parts derived primarily from various Gundam Wing Gunpla, most noticeably the wings of Gundam Epyon (EW) and head ornaments made from the heat shotels of the Gundam Sandrock Custom (EW). It also possesses an over-sized rear skirt armor sourced from the 1/550th scale NZ-333 α Azieru mobile armor.

Armaments[]

  • Breast Vulcan
Two rapid-fire beam vulcans built into the chest.
  • Beam Rifle
A long, rectangular handheld beam rifle, which is very similar to the Large Beam Rifle used by the NRX-044 Asshimar.
  • Beam Scythe
A twin-bladed beam scythe from the ZM-D11S Abigor. In a similar manner to the Code ϕ, the Gundam Groundsel can send out shockwaves to attack at range by slashing the air with its scythe blade, which it does with its "Evil Punisher" EX Skill.
  • Heat Rod
A segmented weapon used in the fashion of a whip, it can become super-heated to increase its ability to cut through armor. Taken from Gundam Epyon's shield, but used as a hand-held weapon. It can be deftly manipulated to unleash a flurry of attacks while moving forward with the "Sinister Spiral" EX Skill, similar to the GF13-050NSW Nobel Gundam's Beam Ribbon.
  • Groundsel Saber
A beam saber with three smaller claw-like beams around the emitter, nearly identical to the Valkyrie Saber of the Gundam Valkyrie.
  • Funnels
The Gundam Groundsel stores nine funnels on top of its rear skirt armor. They are the same "large" funnels used by the α Azieru however, since they are taken from a kit of 1/550th scale, they are not nearly as large when attached to a standard-sized Gunpla. Like standard funnels, they are capable of making all-range beam attacks independent of the user.

Equipment[]

An interface for achieving the "perfect victory" by allowing the pilot to predict the optimal actions to take in battle. In game it provides powerful buffs to attack stats, while making the user resist being staggered and more easily stagger even larger-scaled opponents.

History[]

The Gundam Groundsel was built by Yotsuba Electric for use by their professional fighter Tatsuki Hijiri. She would use it in all of her personal battles leading up to her qualifying for the All-Japan Championship finals, where she would be defeated by the Protagonist.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Following the naming convention of many other Advance of Zeta mobile suits, the Gundam Groundsel is named after the character Groundsel from the novel Watership Down.
  • Although the Gundam Groundsel is built from the parts of several variable mobile suits, it is not currently known if it would be capable of transforming into a mobile armor mode, as transformations have never been truly represented in the Gundam Breaker series.
  • Originally, to obtain parts of the Gundam Groundsel in Gundam Breaker Mobile, players had to build it one piece at a time from event blueprints during a limited time when it was available as a build project. This was a very resource-intensive process, as each part required a combination of ten total Material which could only be obtained by rolling the current gacha capsules on specific weeks of a month to get the number of necessary material for the part. With five body parts and four weapons, it would take at least ninety rolls over four weeks to craft each part.
    • The Gundam Groundsel was re-released for two weeks beginning on August 21, 2022 as part of the "The Build Project Material" exchange, where the players could exchange 5 of the event materials for a part or weapon. With 20 materials available from the event over two weeks, up to four parts could be obtained in this way, though players could also instead exchange one material for an L Badge required to perform alterations of the Groundsel's parts.
    • On April 5, 2023, the Gundam Groundsel is one of the many Build Project suits to be re-released for the "GBM Appreciation Festival" event prior to the game's end of service. Parts could be exchanged for 2,400 of the event's coins.
  • Despite having a weapons resembling those of the Abigor and Asshimar, neither of those mobile suits ultimately appeared in Gundam Breaker Mobile.
