The Guncarry was a medium-range fighter-bomber designed to transport the FA-78-2 Heavy Gundam.[1]
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The Guncarry was intended to compensate for the Heavy Gundam's low mobility. It was able to dock with the Heavy Gundam and transport it over long distances, extending its cruising range and conserving its propellant to ensure that it could maintain maximum thrust in battle for a longer period of time.[1] It was also said to be able to dock with the FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam.[1][2]
What weapons the Guncarry possessed, if any, was unclear. However, when docked with the Heavy Gundam, the latter's shoulder beam cannon would extend from the right side of the Guncarry's top.[1]
History[]
Along with the Heavy Gundam, it was unconfirmed whether the Guncarry was actually manufactured.[1]
In U.C. 0090, Ingrid 0 used an unmanned Guncarry to fly her customized Heavy Gundam to Jaburo.[3]

The Guncarry was initially introduced as part of the MS-X design series first revealed in 1984. However, for unknown reasons, it was absent from nearly every subsequent sourcebook that covers MS-X content, with the notable exception of the 1985 sourcebook The Book That Makes Z Gundam 10 Times More Enjoyable (機動戦士Ζガンダムを10倍楽しむ本) and the 2001 Gundam Officials.
