Green Wyatt (グリーン・ワイアット?) is a fictional character from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. He also appears in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Deleted Affair: Portrait Of Young Comet.
Personality[]
Green Wyatt is an arrogant and unsympathetic officer of the Earth Federation. He looked down on Admiral Kowen and the crew of the Albion for being naive idealists, and so had little sympathy for them. He was proud of the Earth Federation Space Force he commanded, and had no qualms showing off the size and power of the entire fleet. He was also more than willing to work with more underhanded individuals like Cima Garahau.
History[]
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory[]
As a high-ranking member of the Earth Federation and commander of the Space Force, Admiral Green Wyatt ordered the Naval Review of the entire Earth Federation Space Force fleet to be held Konpei Island. His plan was to provoke the Delaz Fleet into an attack by making a demonstration of military strength. When the Delaz Fleet took the bait, he intended to crush them with the full might of the fleet, thus displaying the power of the EFSF for all to see.
In preparation, Wyatt met with Cima and her fleet with his own flagship, the Birmingham, to receive information on Operation Stardust. By unlucky chance, the Albion happened to enter the area and launched its MS forces, thinking that Cima was attacking the Birmingham. Thinking quickly, Wyatt had his gunners fire on Cima's fleet, deliberately missing her flagship. In the confusion, Cima slipped away and the Albion was unaware that the Admiral was meeting with an infamous space pirate. As a result, Wyatt was unable to receive the details of Operation Stardust and had no idea what the Delaz Fleet had planned for the Naval Review.
At least, not until he received word that the stolen RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" was spotted in the vicinity of Konpei and came to a horrified realisation what Delaz's plan was. He had a few brief moments before Anavel Gato targeted the Birmingham with the GP02A's Atomic Bazooka and obliterated Wyatt and the Birmingham, along with destroying or crippling two thirds of the EFSF.
Wyatt's grand plan had only resulted in leaving much of the Earth Sphere defenseless, due to gathering a huge number of the ships the EFSF had at Konpei Island.
