Gene (ジーン) is a character in Mobile Suit Gundam and one of the first antagonists in the series. He piloted an MS-06F Zaku II. He also appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga.
History
Mobile Suit Gundam
While on a recon mission in Side 7 with Denim and Slender, Gene decided to recklessly go out and attack the Earth Federation forces head on. During the attack, Amuro Ray manages to get into the RX-78-2 Gundam and fight Gene. After realizing how powerful it was, Gene tries to run but his Zaku gets cut in half with Amuro's Beam Saber which then explodes, killing him.

- Gene is the first character to be defeated by Amuro Ray.
- In the game Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space, Gene is a selectable character in Vs Mode.
- He appears in Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn as a non-playable pilot.
