Geil Hunt (ゲール・ハント Geru Hanto^?) is a character that appears in the picture drama Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Mayfly of Space 2.

Background

Geil Hunt is a former Lieutenant Colonel of Zeon Mobile Assault Force's Marine Amphibious Unit (M.A.U.) based in Granada, in which Cima Garahau is also a member. Shortly after the conclusion of the One Year War, Hunt made his escape from space fortress A Baoa Qu. Categorized as a Class B war criminal by the Earth Federation, he's continually on the run.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion

In UC 0083, Lieutenant Colonel Geil Hunt, survivor of the Granada MAU Geil and wanted for Class B war crimes, surrendered to authorities and has already been sentenced to death. Geil's apparent death was falsified by the Earth Federation and brought into the Kilgelles Team under the name of Claude Kurtz, one of pilots of a RX-81FC G-Line Full Custom. He and the rest of the Kilgelles Team were brought aboard the MSC-07 Albion. Under the commands of Admiral Green Wyatt, the Kilgelles Team are to be reinforcements and to be treated as an independent unit in the chain of command holding on to the angle of thus being a cooperative search for the enemy.

Using Geil's knowledge as a former Zeon marine, the Federation managed to get in contact with Cima Garahau and her fleet to open negotiations with the Earth Federations Forces. These negotiations are the detailed plans for the attack on the naval review in the condition of admitting Cima's entire fleet into the Earth Federation Forces.
