Template:Infobox/Mobile Weapon Ver.2The Gallop-class is a land based hovercraft mobile suit transport, developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. It first appeared in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam. It was the flagship of Ramba Ral.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
A small land warfare craft that emphasized movement speed and mobile suit transportation over firepower. It floated with a nuclear thermal hover system and propelled itself with jet engines, and carried three mobile suits. In front of the box-shaped hull, there is a hatch that can launch the MS, which is directly connected to the hangar. There is a navigation bridge in front of the hull, and the movement in the case of non-combat is controlled here, but the staff moves from the navigation bridge to the left and right combat bridges in combat and takes command. The battle bridge also serves as an escape boat, and can fly for a short time after ejection. In addition, it is equipped with a coupler for towing a cargo unit on the stern, the unit can be used to transport supplies and could also function as a camping trailer, thereby enabling long-term operational activities.

Later, Hamon led another attack on the White Base, mounting three Magella Tops on the Gallop's cargo unit, equipping it with the Gallop's spare engine, and filling it with explosives. She attempted to ram the cargo unit into the White Base, but her plan was foiled by the Gundam.

- A Gallop variant appears in ∀ Gundam, which is similar in appearance to the Mobile Suit Gundam version, except it is noticeably smaller, and lacks the back mounted 2-barrel main cannon.
- The Gallop-class has some similarities with the Lesseps-class, both are hovercraft transport units that operate primarily in the desert, both were manufactured by a space faction and both were commanded by a person the main protagonists formed a understanding with.
