The GS-9900 G-Falcon is a fighter-like craft which appears in the latter half of the series After War Gundam X.

Technological and Combat Informations

The main purpose of the G-Falcon is to dock with the Gundam units. When docked with the GT-9600 Gundam Leopard the Gundam is given the ability to fly, when docked with the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster in fighter mode the speed is increased, and when docked with the GX-9900 Gundam X all functions were increased greatly. The G-Falcon can also dock with the newly developed GX-9901-DX Gundam Double X. When docked with it, the G-Falcon's generator also work as an energy bank for the Double X's Twin Satellite Cannon. This reduces the time needed to charge the Cannon and and allows the Double X to fire it as a common beam cannon without microwave transmission. Lastly while the G-Falcon is attached to a Gundam, both units are capable of re-entering the Earth's atmosphere.

Besides its docking capabilities, the G-Falcon can also work independently as a fighter. It is armed with vulcan guns, infrared-guide homing missiles and scattering beam cannons, with the latter two function-able when docked with a Gundam.

Armaments

  • Infrared homing missile launcher
Holding 10 missiles per launcher, the missils are capable of tracking targets.
  • Falcon stabilizer
Wing mounted weapons.
  • Scattering beam cannon
  • Vulcan Gun
A weak fast-firing weapon used for suppressive fire and intercepting missiles.

History

Developed by the United Nations Earth military as a support craft for their Gundam units, an unknown number of G-Falcon units was used during the 7th Space War. After the 7th Space War, the guerrilla group Satelicon found and rebuilt one G-Falcon to be used in their fight against the Space Revolutionary Army.

In AW 0015, G-Falcon pilot Pala Sys rescued Gundam Double X pilot Garrod Ran who was about to lose a battle against SRA ace pilot Lancerow Dawell. She then brought him to the Satyricon base where Garrod decided to join Satelicon to rescue Newtype Tiffa Adill from the SRA. When Satelicon is destroyed by the SRA, only Pala and Garrod escaped in their units. The two of them then decided to intervene in the firing plan of the Colony Laser. Their plan involved for the G-Falcon to mark the targets for the Gundam Double X Satellite Cannon. Also during this operation Pala took Tiffa from the SRA in the G-Falcon.

After this incident the three were captured by the New United Nations Earth but were later able to escape. They were however chased by the New UNE forces as well as the Frost brothers in their Gundam. It shocked Pala that they are capable to chase them even with the G-Falcon's speed but she was nevertheless able to shoot down several UNE units. Pala later joined Jamil Neate's Vulture group and during this time they tested the abilities of the Falcon to dock with the Gundams.

When the 8th Space War started between the New UNE and the SRA, Pala fought in her G-Falcon on the Vulture's side to reach the lunar base and meet D.O.M.E.. After the war ended, Pala joined Kid Salsamille's mechanic shop. What happened to her G-Falcon is unknown.

Trivia

The GS-9900 is similar in function and design to that of the FXA-05D G-Defenser of the Universal Century.
