Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record
The GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (aka 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (pronounced "Double-Oh Quanta Full Saber")) is a variant of the [[GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]|GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]]] introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record. ==Technology & Combat Characteristics== The [[GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]|GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]]] was developed for Setsuna F. Seiei, who had awakened as a true Innovator, and it featured two new GN Drives made specifically for its Twin Drive System.<ref name="00VS-14">[[Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield ==Armaments== ;*GN Sword IV Full Saber :Developed before the [[GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]|GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]]]'s GN Sword V, the GN Sword IV Full Saber is a multipurpose sword that incorporated a name="MSB-66"/> However, activation test showed the Twin Drive System operating stably by itself, so the GN Sword IV Full Saber was not needed and the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber was never deployed. Even so, the GN Sword IV Full Saber is still regarded as an extremely useful weapon that grants overwhelming combat capabilities. The GN Sword IV Full Saber is made up of four different components: the Main Blade Unit, the Multi-mounter, the Main Grip Unit, and three GN Gunblades. Depending on how these components are combined and used, various modes and combat styles are possible. Furthermore, both the Main Blade Unit and the GN Gunblades can function as independent weapons. When not used as a weapon, the grip of the Main Grip Unit is retracted and the GN Sword IV Full Saber is mounted on a movable attachment arm connected to the right side of an additional unit on the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber's back. :;*Full Saber Mode ::This is the basic mode of the GN Sword IV Full Saber in which the grip of the Main Grip Unit is deployed and the entire weapon is used as a handheld buster sword. :;*GN Launcher Mode ::With the grip of the Main Grip Unit retracted, and all three GN Gunblades switching to Gun Mode, the GN Sword IV Full Saber changes into the GN Launcher Mode for use as a large beam firearm. This mode can be considered as the GN Sword IV Full Saber's equivalent of the GN Sword V's Buster Rifle Mode. The shape and the size of the beam emitted from the GN Launcher Mode are unknown, but it is thought to be close to the Raiser Sword emitted by the GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser's GN Sword III, making it easy to destroy medium-sized ELS. The drawback of this mode is that it must be held in front of the mobile suit with both hands when used, making it difficult to handle compared to other armaments. :;*GN Gunblade ::The three GN Gunblades can be detached from the GN Sword IV Full Saber and used as independent handheld weapons. Each GN Gunblade can switch between Blade Mode and Gun Mode. In Gun Mode, the blade section flips down 90-degrees and the GN Gunblade functions as a small beam firearm. The GN Gunblade Gun Mode is thought to have relatively low output among the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber's ranged weaponry, but it can also be used for melee combat as the blade section remains usable. When two GN Gunblades are combined while in Blade Mode, the GN Gunblade Twin Edge is formed. The GN Gunblade Twin Edge has blades on both ends, making it possible to perform tricky attacks, and it is also suitable for throwing. :;*GN Katar Mode ::A mode where the Main Blade Unit is used on its own and held using a dedicated grip. The blade section of the Main Blade Unit appears to be made of the same material as that of the GN Gunblade. Compared to the GN Gunblade Twin Edge, the total length of the GN Katar Mode is slightly shorter, but it has a longer blade. The short length of the GN Katar Mode also makes it easy to wield. This mode is designed to demonstrate its power when combined with the mobility of the mobile suit. :;*GN Sword IV Saber Mode ::A form where the grip of the Main Grip Unit is deployed and only one GN Gunblade is attached to the GN Sword IV Full Saber. The GN Sword IV Saber Mode is a large handheld melee weapon, and seems to have as much power as the Full Saber Mode. The two detached GN Gunblades are intended to be used as the GN Gunblade Twin Edge. :;*GN Sword IV Rifle Mode ::A GN Gunblade Gun Mode can be combined with the Main Blade Unit to form the GN Sword IV Rifle Mode. The characteristics of the beams emitted in this mode differ from that of the GN Gunblade Gun Mode, and change according to the orientation of the Main Blade Unit. The "wide cutter particle beam" is fired when the tip of the Main Blade Unit is facing forward. When the tip is facing backwards, this handheld weapon is capable of rapid-fire and high output particle beams. By using these two forms properly, the Rifle Mode demonstrates higher shooting capabilities than the individual GN Gunblades. ;*GN Sword V :The same weapon as used by the 00 Qan[T], the GN Sword V can switch between Sword Mode for melee combat and Rifle Mode for long-range shooting by rotating the blade 90 degrees, and changing the angle of the grip and grip guards.<ref name="RG The GN Sword IV Full Saber is a weapon with a built-in Twin Drive stabilization system, and developed by the organization's chief mechanic, Ian Vashti, in case the Twin Drive System of the 00 Qan[T] could not operate stably. However, activation test showed the 00 Qan[T]'s Twin Drive System operating stably by itself, so the GN Sword IV Full Saber was not equipped even though it was built. Despite this, its usefulness is never in doubt. The simulation was conducted by Sherilyn Hyde, a disciple of Ian and the mechanic of the Fereshte support organization, and she had the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber confronting the large ELS and countless medium and small-sized ELS by itself. The simulation results showed the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber wiping out the ELS horde in a single week. Sherilyn was greatly shocked and quickly rechecked the inputted data. There was no error. Since this is a simulation, its result is not an exact representation of real-life event. Surely, Setsuna F. Seiei, the intended pilot of 00 Qan[T] Full Saber, would not be able to fight for an entire week, and there was also the possibility of more ELS arriving as reinforcement for the ELS horde. Thus, it is just as likely for the ELS horde to be victorious if this battle occurred in real life. Nevertheless, the simulation did confirm that 00 Qan[T] Full Saber could overwhelm the ELS. It is also worth noting that it is now known the ELS horde was not fully committed to fighting during the crisis, they were simply mimicking mankind's action in an attempt to communicate with humanity. Even after considering this fact, Sherilyn still found the simulation results to be too one-sided. Looking at the data displayed on screen, Sherilyn imagined how the battle would unfold. With the ELS horde communicating using quantum brainwaves and sharing a single mind, the large ELS would naturally be the priority target for 00 Qan[T] Full Saber as it is the core of this horde. By eliminating the large ELS, the other ELS would likely fall into confusion. However, since the large ELS is comparable in size to the moon and has self-regeneration capabilities, destroying it is easier said than done. Setsuna would likely adopt a tactic of diving into the core of the large ELS and destroying it from within using the GN Sword IV Full Saber and the GN Sword Bits. Sherilyn noted that if not for the ELS possessing intelligence, Setsuna would have tried his best to eradicate them. While many lives were lost during the crisis, Sherilyn was relieved that mankind at least has a new partner in the ELS. Sherilyn still yearned to see the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber in battle, but she knows that this is only a fantasy. ==Gallery== ===Lineart=== <gallery> Full Saber 1.jpg|Front view Full Saber 2.jpg|Rear views, with details of back-mounted additional unit 00 Qan(T) FS IV.jpg|GN Sword IV Full Saber, front and rear view Full Saber 3.jpg|GN Sword IV Full Saber details (from left: front, rear, rear with grip deployed and a GN Gunblade removed) </gallery> ===Illustration & Artwork=== <gallery> 00-Qan-TFS.png|Breaking out of large ELS (Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record Mission 014 "Full Saber") </gallery> ===Games=== <gallery> SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Qan-T- Full Saber.png|SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays </gallery> ===Fan Art=== <gallery> 00Q Full Saber.jpg|CG, front 00Q Full Saber Rear.jpg|CG, rear GN Full Saber.jpg|CG of GN Sword IV Full Saber, with detached GN Gunblades </gallery> ==Gunpla== <gallery> HG - GNT-0000-FS - 00 QanT Full Saber - Boxart.jpg|HG00 1/144 GN Sword IV Full Saber (Hobby Japan February 2011 exclusive; 2010): box art HG - GNT-0000FS - 00 QanT Full Saber.jpg|HG00 1/144 GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (Front, rear, action pose) HG - GNT-0000FS - 00 QanT Full Saber0.jpg|HG00 1/144 GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (GN Sword IV Full Saber details, and Gunpla modification details) HG - GNT-0000FS - 00 QanT Full Saber3.jpg|HG00 1/144 GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (Left: GN Sword IV Rifle Mode (High Output & Rapid fire); middle right: GN Launcher Mode; bottom right: GN Gunblade Blade Mode & GN Katar Mode) HG - GNT-0000FS - 00 QanT Full Saber4.jpg|HG00 1/144 GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber (Top row (from left): GN Gunblade Gun Mode, GN Sword IV Rifle Mode (Wide Cutter Particle Beam); middle row (from left): Full Saber Mode, GN Sword IV Saber Mode & GN Gunblade Twin Edge; bottom row (left): GN Sword V) GNSwordIVGunpla-Clear.jpg|HG00 1/144 GN Sword IV Full Saber (Clear Color Ver.)
