Armaments
- Claw
- Inherited from the GN-001/hs-A01D Gundam Avalanche Exia', however unlike the GN Claws of the Gundam Avalanche Exia', the GN Arms' claws cannot create a beam saber at the tip.
- Large-Size GN Cannon
- Two large cannons are built on top of the GN Arms and act as its main weapons.[2] Although they consume a lot of GN Particles, they are capable of generating beams that are as powerful as Gundam Virtue's GN Bazooka.[2] Their full power however is only usable when the GN Arms is combined with Exia.[2] When combined with the Ptolemaios as part of the Assault Container, they are also used as the main guns of the ship.[2]
- Large-Size GN Sword
- Notably the most defining feature of the GN Arms Type-E, are its two large GN Swords, one on each side of the unit for melee combat. They are equipped with the same system as Exia's GN Sword,[2] and thus are able to pierce GN Fields.[3] Due to their increased size, their destructive power has greatly increased.[2]
- GN Beam Gun
- A GN Beam Gun is located behind each of the Large-Size GN Swords of the GN Arms Type-E. As they were primarily designed for suppression fire,[2] their attack power is not so high.[2] However since they are installed on arms that can move freely, they have a wider targeting range than the Large-Size GN Cannons.[2]
- GN Twin Rifle
- The GN Arms Type-D is equipped with a double-barreled GN Twin Rifle on the right side. While its power is weaker than the Large-Size GN Cannons,[4] it has a longer effective range.[4] It is folded when not in use.[4]
- Large-Size Missile Container
- The GN Arms Type-D is equipped with a large missile container on the left side which can carry hundreds of GN Missiles. The missiles are pre-charged with GN Particles and have great destructive power.[4] If the GN Arms is able to sneak into the enemy's formation and release a large salvo, a large military advantage can be gained.[4]
History
Defending Ptolemy
After suffering several losses against Celestial Being, the UN Forces were granted access to 30 GN Drives which resulted in the creation of the GNX-603T GN-X - a mobile suit that could resist Celestial Being. Fearing the possibility of defeat, Sumeragi Lee Noriega had Lasse Aeon and Ian Vashti retrieve the GN Arms from one of their lagrange resource satellites. Lasse retrieved GN Arms Type E, while Ian retrieved GN Arms Type-D.
Lasse/GN Arms Type-E made it back in time to assist the Ptolemy crew after their first encounter with UN Forces with their GN-X's in space. Lasse would later transport Setsuna/Exia down to Earth to assist him in his investigations while testing out the capabilities in between GN Arms Type E and the Assault Container.
During the second UN attack, Lockon attached the Dynames to the GN Arms Type-D, taking out the majority of the GN-Xs. He then went to take down the Virginia-class Carriers, destroying two but before he could take out the last one, the Twin Rifle was taken out by GNW-002 Gundam Throne Zwei, piloted by Ali al-Saachez. Lockon had to eject, as a linear bolt destroyed the GN Armor. He later used the remaining GN Cannon to destroy the lower torso of Gundam Throne Zwei and the lower body of Ali al-Saachez.
In the final events of A.D. 2308, UN Forces successfully fended off Celestial Being. Last standing Gundam Meister, Setsuna F. Seiei, and Lasse/GN Arms Type-E fought against Alejandro Corner/Alvatore. The GN Arms Type-E managed to defeat the enemy MA, but Lasse/GN Arms Type-E was severely damaged from the battle and unable to continue the fight. After Setsuna/Exia defeated Alejandro/Alvaaron and subsequently disappeared, Lasse was rescued but it is unknown if the GN Arms Type-E was salvaged.
