GNEX-005E N-Extreme Gundam Explosion (GNEX-005E N-EXTREMEガンダム エクスプロージョン?) is a prototype multi-purpose mobile suit appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost as part of the Project N-EXTREME. It is piloted by Amagi Sai.
Technology and Combat characteristics[]
Developed as the fifth unit of the N-Extreme series, the N-Extreme Gundam Explosion is equipped with the latest technology. The Explosion is so aptly named for its Bomber Knuckles, close-range thermal weapons used for punching attacks but can also produce literal explosions from the volatile particles it releases when in use. Of particular note is its Back Weapons System which houses numerous functions and weapons to allow it to better tackle various situations, similar to the Tactical Arms found within the Astray series of Gundams.
Armaments[]
- Bomber Knuckle
- Thermal weapons located on the forearms, these give the Explosion its apt name by producing explosive heat based attacks from powerful punches to being able to produce volcanic pillars to erupt from underneath the ground when focused on a single point.
- Back Weapons System
- A large E-shaped compartment that houses a myriad of weapons and is capable of taking on different forms to suit the pilot's needs. It also acts as a propulsion system, lined with verniers capable of powerful bursts of speed. The compartment can also serve as a functional shield or be used as the Buster Lightning Sword in its fully assembled state.
- RAIKIRI Sword
- Stored within the top and bottom blade-like parts, these two katana-like swords can be used to cut through enemy mobile suits. They can be charged with electricity to enhance their cutting power as well as fire off blade waves when swung. Their cutting power can also enhance the sheaths as well when stored away.
- High Mega Cannon
- The Back Weapons System's largest part can detach to become a long-range beam cannon capable of firing shots that can explode within the vicinity of enemy mobile suits. When in use, the the two smaller blades detach and float alongside the weapon.
- Dagger Funnel
- The weapons system contains a set of eight remote blade weapons that can chase and stab enemy units, not unlike the AGE-FX Gundam AGE-FX's C-Funnels
Special Features[]
- Awakening
- A special power withing the Back Weapons System that causes the backpack itself to glow gold entirely alongside the Explosion's inner frame. This greatly enhances the unit's capabilities. Additionally, it is capable of emitting a giant lightning sword from its beam emitters as a sort of finishing attack
