Dynames R3 is the successor to Dynames R2 and the third version to the original Dynames. Originally designed to be a long-ranged sniper and ballistics support unit, Celestial Being (CB) engineers refitted and enhanced the Gundam to the preferences of Laetitia Erde (Tieria's clone). Taking a resemblance to Gundam Virtue, the unit is now a heavy weapons assault mobile suit (MS). However, due to limited information, not everything about Dynames R3 is fully defined.

For weapons and combat, various parts of Dynames' armor and weapons silhouette have been modified and refitted to its new heavy assault orientation. The GN Full Shield has been removed and given GN Cannons that doubles as GN Shields. Like Virtue, each cannon is a double-barrel particle cannon. Virtue's cannons were slower and had limited vertical axis movement for firing; it relied on its pilot to maneuver into a viable firing solution. The new cannons are lighter and have greater rotation; it allows Dynames to fire at greater angles without repositioning to fire.

Dynames R3's primary weapon is a GN Bazooka, a variant of Virtue's bazooka. While the original bazooka was large and wide, this version is slimmer and narrow. Because there's no information about the bazooka's capabilities, it's unclear if there are any special attack functions like Burst Mode.

The original sniper system included a fire control trigger at the top of the cockpit. During sniper mode, Dynames' head antenna would lower to unveil an ocular scope for long-range precision shooting. The cockpit also contains a Haro ported on the left side of the controls. The meister can't pilot Dynames and snipe targets at the same time without assistance; the Haro is there to assist (by voice command) the pilot in MS controls while in combat. With it's new modifications, the sniper system (along with its peripheral equipment) is no longer needed. The ocular scope along with Dynames' sniper equipment was removed.

While the meister is focused on shooting, the Haro assists the pilot in MS controls and sensors by voice command.

Dynames' original GN Drive has been removed to power Gundam Zabanya since its R1 variant. The R3 unit continues to utilize a GN Condenser as its power core. Despite the high particle requirements for its new systems, CB engineers didn't have the resources to replace it with a new GN Drive nor substitute it with a GN T Drive. They installed a high density particle condenser to compensate, but

Notes & Trivia

  • Its paint scheme likely references Laetitia Erde's association with Tieria Erde, whose mobile suits were often colored in black.
