The GN-0000RE+GNR-010 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type (aka 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type) is the repaired version of GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser introduced in the movie Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie -A wakening of the Trailblazer- and is piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser is the combined form of the GN-0000 00 Gundam and the GNR-010 0 Raiser support machine.[1][2][3][4] This combination enabled stable and full operation of the 00 Gundam's Twin Drive System, resulting in the performance of the 00 Raiser to exceed all expectations.[1][3][4][5] However, following the awakening of its pilot, Setsuna F. Seiei, into a true Innovator, even the 00 Raiser could not keep with his abilities.[6] Furthermore, the 00 Raiser was badly damaged during the final battle against the Innovades who falsely claimed to be Innovators and lost both of its GN Drives, so Celestial Being began development of a new mobile suit, the GNT-0000 00 Qan[T], for Setsuna.[5][6][7][8] Since the completion of this new machine required a large amount of time, a refurbished version of the 00 Raiser known as "GN-0000RE+GNR-010 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type" was deployed as one of the temporary machines for Setsuna's use.[5][6][8][9]
The 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is the combined form of the repaired 00 Gundam and 0 Raiser.[8][9][10][11] In place of the lost GN Drives, the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is powered by a pair of particle storage tanks, which are simply large-sized GN Condensers.[6][9][12][13] Due to technological advancement, the large GN Condenser can reproduce the Twin Drive System when paired[4][8][13][14], and also utilized the Trans-Am System as well as Trans-Am Burst System.[6][11][14][15] However, since the large GN Condenser does not have the same capabilities as a GN Drive, there are some limitations.[4][11][14][16] The operating time of the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is reduced compared to 00 Raiser[11][17], and its Trans-Am Mode and Trans-Am Burst Mode are noted to have rather short active time.[5][6][12][13] It is also said that the effects of a Twin Drive System based on two large GN Condensers may not be identical to that of the original system which utilized two GN Drives.[16] Despite these issues, the basic performance of the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is unchanged from that of the 00 Raiser.[4][11][12]
Other known differences from the 00 Raiser included the Haro being the sole operator of the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type's repaired 0 Raiser[17], and the composite sensor unit in the nose of the 0 Raiser being enlarged as well as having a sensor cover of different color.[4][6][11][18] The 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is one of two forms for the repaired 00 Gundam, the other being the GN-0000GNHW/7SG 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G, and Setsuna could choose which form to use.[8][9][19] Both forms of the repaired 00 Gundam were stationed in space, while the GN-001REIII Gundam Exia Repair III was stationed on Earth for Setsuna's use on the planet, and this arrangement was because Earth Sphere Federation's strict monitoring and full control of the Orbital Elevators made it impossible for Celestial Being to transport the Gundams between space and Earth.[19][20][21][22] During the encounter with the extraterrestrial ELS, Setsuna launched in the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type as he now preferred non-violent interactions, such as dialogues, instead of combat.[8][15][23]
Armaments[]
- GN Sword III
- Like the original GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser, the GN-0000RE+GNR-010 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type is equipped with a GN Sword III.[5][6][10][15] Mounted on the right forearm, the GN Sword III has three modes: GN Sword Mode (also known as Sword Mode) for melee combat, GN Rifle Mode (also known as Rifle Mode) for ranged combat, and Raiser Sword Mode for generating a gigantic beam saber.[4][5][6][24] The clear green material utilized in the blade of the GN Sword Mode granted the weapon greater cutting power and sharpness than the GN Sword II.[5][6][17][25] By folding the blade, the GN Sword III transforms into GN Rifle Mode, which essentially functions as a triple barreled beam rifle.[4][5][6][24] Not only can the GN Rifle Mode concentrate the beams from the three barrels into a huge, high-power beam, it also has other shooting modes such as rapid-fire mode and diffused beam mode.[4][5][6][24] The original 00 Raiser could only use the GN Sword III's Raiser Sword Mode when both Trans-Am System and Raiser System were activated[26], and this presumably also applies to the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type.
- GN Beam Saber
- The 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type retained the pair of GN Beam Sabers stored on the rear waist of the 00 Raiser.[6][24] When used, the GN Beam Sabers swung sideways for drawing.[4][6][24] The beam blade emitted by the GN Beam Saber has high attack power, but atmospheric conditions and beam scattering/diffusion measures can reduce its power.[4][6][24] By adjusting its output and shortening the beam blade, this weapon becomes a GN Beam Dagger, which can be thrown to attack distant enemy.[4][6][24]
- GN Beam Machine Gun
- A pair of GN Beam Machine Guns were installed on the inner sides of the two side binders of the original 00 Raiser[4][7][24], and these guns seemed to be retained by the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type.[27][28][29] The two GN Beam Machine Guns have higher rate of fire than normal beam rifles, and although their firepower is slightly weaker, they still have sufficient destructive power for mobile suit battles.[4][18][24]
- GN Micro Missile
- The original 00 Raiser could fire GN Micro Missiles from four ports on the outer sides of its two side binders[4][24][30], and these missiles seemed to be retained by the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type.[27][28][29] Upon hitting the target, the GN Micro Missiles release GN Particles to destroy the target from within.[18][24] These guided missiles could be used for intercepting enemy mobile suits and are also suitable for destroying large targets, such as ships.[18][24][30][31]
Special Equipment & Features[]
- By synchronizing two compatible original GN Drives, the Twin Drive System can produce a GN Particle output that is squared that of a single GN Drive rather than merely doubled, resulting in the equipped mobile suit having exceptional combat capabilities.[2][4][32][33] Unfortunately, the pair of GN Drives used for the Twin Drive System of the GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser were lost during the final battle with the Innovades who falsely claimed to be Innovators.[4][5][7][14] The damaged 00 Raiser was later refurbished into the GN-0000RE+GNR-010 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type, with the lost GN Drives replaced by a pair of particle storage tanks[4][6][12][27], which are simply large-sized GN Condensers.[6][9][12][13] Furthermore, these large GN Condensers are of an improved model developed by Sherilyn Hyde that is capable of reproducing the Twin Drive System when paired.[4][8][13][14] Such a system is also known as "Twin Condenser System"[13][14], and some of its effects may differ from the original Twin Drive System.[16]
- A special system that when activated would fully release all of the compressed high-density GN Particles accumulated in the Gundam, enhancing its mobility and defensive capabilities as well as boosting its output for a limited time.[20][24][34][35] Additionally, the entire Gundam appeared red and afterimages were generated when moving.[16][20][24][34] However, once Trans-Am ended, the Gundam's performance would drop as all its GN Particles were used up.[16][20][34][35] The new Gundams deployed by Celestial Being since AD 2312 were designed on the premise of using the Trans-Am System, thus the drop in performance would not be that severe until they could not battle.[16][36][37] Furthermore, these Gundams could deactivate the system at any time.[4][16] The Trans-Am System was originally limited to Gundams powered by GN Drive, but it was later made available to Gundams powered by the improved large GN Condenser, such as the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type.[4][6][16][21] However, operating time of the Trans-Am Mode for the large GN Condenser-powered Gundams is comparatively short.[5][6]
- As demonstrated by the original 00 Raiser, when a machine with a functional Twin Drive System utilized Trans-Am, it gained a boost in output exceeding Trans-Am's usual three-fold increase.[16][24] Additionally, due to the exceptionally large amount of GN Particles released, the machine obtained special abilities, such as a type of teleportation called "Quantization", and the generation of a quantum space around the machine where the thoughts of people could be transmitted to each other.[3][4][24][38] The 00 Raiser could also use the GN Sword III's Raiser Sword Mode when Trans-Am System was activated alongside the Raiser System.[26] Like the 00 Raiser, the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type has a Twin Drive System, albeit one that utilized two large GN Condensers instead of two GN Drives[4][8][13][14], thus there might be some differences in its output boost and the special abilities acquired during Trans-Am Mode.
- A feature of the Twin Drive System, it is considered to be a system that goes beyond Trans-Am.[4][39][40] To activate Trans-Am Burst System, the quantum brainwaves of a true Innovator have to work together with the Twin Drive System.[4][30][40] Besides increasing the output of the Twin Drive System-equipped machine, this system also caused the machine to glow red and release a tremendous amount of purified GN Particles.[15][30][39][40] These purified particles have multiple effects, including the generation of a large quantum space where people experienced an expansion of consciousness, allowing them to communicate telepathically.[4][30][39][40] Like the original 00 Raiser, the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type can activate Trans-Am Burst, but the operating time of its Trans-Am Burst Mode seemed to be comparatively short.[12][13][15][30] Setsuna attempted to use the large quantum space generated by 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type's Trans-Am Burst to telepathically communicate with extraterrestrial ELS, but was unable to establish a dialogue.[5][10][11][15]
- A system that enabled the original 00 Raiser to release all its compressed GN Particles for the "Raiser Sword" attack with the GN Sword III during Trans-Am Mode.[17][26][41] There also seemed to be a link between the Raiser System and the Trans-Am Burst System, as the sub monitor in the 00 Raiser's cockpit showed a display almost identical to that of the Raiser System's when the Trans-Am Burst is activated.[30] This link between the two systems is more explicit in the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type, where the Raiser System is activated just before the activation of Trans-Am Burst.[15]
- Dock for Haro
- Haro is the name of small robots with individual AIs that Celestial Being uses for a wide range of support and maintenance work.[42][43] One such Haro assisted the pilot of the GNR-010 0 Raiser in operating the support machine's various systems smoothly and fully.[1][4][18] As part of the 00 Raiser, the 0 Raiser suffered damages during the final battle with the Innovades[7], and once it was repaired, the Haro became the sole operator of the support machine.[17] When the repaired 0 Raiser combined with the repaired GN-0000 00 Gundam to form the 00 Raiser GN Condenser Type[8][9][10][11], the Haro seemed to provide control support for Setsuna as it could be heard announcing the activation of the Raiser System when the Trans-Am Burst System was activated.[15]
- The Celestial Being regained linkage with the quantum processing system Veda near the end of the battle with the Innovades, and resumed usage of the system in its operations after that.[7][14][15] Presumably, the Veda-linked operating system of the Gundams was also restored, enabling the quantum processing system to provide support to the Gundams and its pilots.
