GN-0000DVR/II Gundam 00 Diver Arc

The GN-0000DVR/II Gundam 00 Diver Arc (ガンダムダブルオーダイバーアーク Gandamu Daburuō Daibā Āku?) is a Gunpla introduced in Gundam Build Metaverse. It is built and piloted by Riku Mikami.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

This Gunpla was created with the concept of revisiting the Gundam 00 Diver, Riku's first Gunpla, with the skills Riku had gained up till now.[1][2] Suppression abilities during close and mid-range combat have been improved thanks to the Arc Bracers mounted on the forearms and Arc Drive units located off the shoulders, and they both incorporated the new "GN Burst" mechanism inspired by the Gundam AGE-FX.[1][2] The GN Burst is a mechanism whereby GN Particles are released and then hardened to form special clear parts for offense, defense, and mobility purposes.[2] This mechanism is also installed in the Gunpla's backpack.[2] While the Gunpla's structure may be simple, it is capable of highly variable attack patterns.[2] Although this near-perfect custom build is the result of long-term experience, much of it is ultimately a matter of Riku's personal tastes, built using the very same emotions that he once poured into creating his 00 Diver.[2]

Armaments[]

  • GN Daidal Cannon
A powerful ranged weapon built into the center of the chest, it was also inspired by the Gundam AGE series.[2] It would seem that Riku has been influenced by the preference of his greatest rival, a certain champion Gunpla builder.[2]
  • Arc Bracer
Arm-guard units equipped to both forearms.[2] Using the GN Burst mechanism, GN Particles released from the pair of Arc Bracers hardened to form clear blades known as "Burst Blades".[2] Similar to the Shiguru Blade featured in the Gundam AGE series, the Burst Blades boasted razor-sharp cutting ability.[2] Additionally, the Arc Bracers also housed GN Vulcans, which are small beam guns with rapid-fire capability.[2][3]
  • Burst Buster Sword
The Arc Drive units that are located off the shoulders can be detached and used as a pair of large handheld swords once the hidden hand grips are deployed.[2] The clear blades of these large swords are formed through the GN Burst mechanism, like the Arc Bracers' Burst Blades.[2]
  • GN Beam Saber
Stored on the rear skirt armor, and handheld in use, the pair of GN Beam Sabers are basic close combat weapons that emit a blade-shaped beam.
  • GN Sword II
An optional handheld physical sword, it can change from Sword Mode to Rifle Mode for shooting, and even generate a beam blade in Beam Saber Mode. They are stored on the side skirt armor when not in use, and seem to remain unchanged from the GN Sword IIs used by the original Gundam 00 Diver.

Special Equipment & Features[]

  • Arc Drive Unit
Located off the shoulders, the pair of Arc Drive units incorporated the GN Burst mechanism inspired by the Gundam AGE-FX's FX-Burst.[2] The GN Burst is a mechanism whereby GN Particles are released and then hardened to form special clear parts for various purposes.[2] The Arc Drive units can switch between three distinct modes[2]:
  • Burst High Maneuver Mode
A high mobility mode in which the Arc Drive units are deployed backwards.[2] The special clear parts are used for propulsion, raising the Gunpla's mobility to the utmost limits.[2]
  • Burst Shield Mode
The Arc Drive units are deployed forwards, and the special clear parts act as a GN Field, enabling defense in a wide area.[2]
  • Burst Buster Sword Mode
A mode in which the Arc Drive units are used as the Burst Buster Swords.[2] The special clear parts come together to act as the blades of these large swords.[2]
  • Trans-Am System
Like the original Gundam 00 Diver, the Gundam 00 Diver Arc is equipped with the Trans-Am System.[3] As the build of Riku's Gunpla has improved, the 00 Diver Arc has no problem using this system unlike the 00 Diver.[3] When activated, the Trans-Am System briefly improve the unit's specifications more than three-fold, and as a side-effect, the unit glows red during this time. However, once the system reach its activation time limit, the Gunpla's mobility drops greatly until the stored particles are recharged.
